One big advantage of European cities, I don't need to drive :p

I live a few minutes by ferry to the city. Beats the underground, buses, taxis etc although I'd give the nod to bicycles ;)

Forget stealing a Brinks truck. How about rolling one the trucks carrying all that fuel? Rip out the GPS they have installed and your good to go. No armed guards to fight with...just a poor trucker who would gladly give up the truck than to try and play hero.

Surprised I haven't heard someone trying that yet.

Yeah. A fully loaded truck with 110k gallons @$4/gallon.

I believe a tanker holds no more than 8k gallons. A rig can't weigh over 80,000 lbs ( legally). Most fluids weigh about 8 lbs per gallon. The other 16k ( may be more) or so pounds is the truck itself

since i don't have a set job anymore, i work for myself doing small plumbing and drywall and painting jobs, so i work various times and distances.
but i used to work at a warehouse for 9.50 an hour and my jeep has a 10 gallon tank and and gas is around 4.20 here now, so that gave me an estimate of 4.42 hours.

I could fill a tank in 10-15 minutes depending how many hours I work each week, yet I have no car.

About five minutes. Just have to put the hose in the gas tank and crank the hand pump.
