How Many Here, Have Been To HARRAH'S CASINO in Cherokee, NC...?

Not really. I live in Asheville so we will usually either eat before we go or hit the casino restaurants. There is a place about 1/4 mile from the casino called Granny's Kitchen. It's a buffet with a strictly country, southern menu. I've eaten there a few times, not bad at all and usually very crowded. The tribe controls what comes and goes so there are a lot of fast food chains close by. Not many healthy options

Unless you go to Granny's or drive to Maggie Valley there really isn't anything good, the best places to eat are at the casino

There's an excellent barbeque place in a little town called Dillsboro, about 12 miles from Cherokee. It's called Haywood Smokehouse and if you like barbeque, it's worth trip. It's a straight shot, 4 lane from Harrah's

The other local restaurants we have been in over the years include

PetersPancakeHouse...its okay enough if you hankering for breakfast food...not likely to go back this time
RanchoViejo Mexican is pretty solid and fairly priced

Family enjoyed it both times.

Since Harrahs Cherokee is nonsmoking you can get away with one less shirt if you wear tshirt underneath and one less pair of pants so long as you dont constantly piss yourself...
