I haven't really lifted in about 2 years due to some surgery I had, but I could probably hit 3 plates after about 6 months if I got back into it. At least I'd like to believe I could.

The best I ever did was 2 reps at 315. When I see someone repping 4 (405) plates, i'm impressed.

I really think a better barometer for overall strength is how much someone can squat or deadlift.

After I fuckedup my elbow I've been struggling to max 250 or more, but my elbow seems to crack harder when I do it...I'll stay on 200 for now before I get a broken bone

the most i do is 225 which i managed to do 20 times consecutively...My power has increased it seems..

I have never had a need to lift anything that weighed 315 lbs, doesnt even cross my mind, i dont do squats, dead lifts or anything that can remotely lead to injuries in joints...I dont understand why one would even risk several injuries including serious back injury doing squats when you can do more weight safely doing leg presses. There are multitudes of risk free work outs that provide better benefits than outrageous things like dead lifts and squats (depending on what gym you go to)...

My MO after having gotten a simple sore knee from using a certain contraption, i dont do anything at all that requires jerky movements, stop any movement in my elbows and knees right before they lock...Any sharp joint pains= get off that machine or put down that weight..

Muscle burns are a different story and pain one can easily differentiate from a stressted out ligament or something like that.
