I guess you can live to be 110 if you follow the steps set by Dr. Oz (at least that is what the ball and chain is telling me). But if your shit is not coming out in the shape of a U you are done by 80.

It depends on the type of life you've had and how healthy you are. For me, I am 61 but I feel like I'm 81 both mentally and physically. If I closed my eyes forever tomorrow I would want no tears shed for me.

Ted im 52 feel like im 42 act like im 32...all is good thought i would never see 30...i was pretty wild....or stupid....hang in there stay positive...life is good u only have 1

I'm 57+(cholesterol 120--blood pressure 100/70--resting pulse 68) and I have almost zero stress in my life. My dad passed away in November at 88. I would wager a bunch that I will break 90.

Everynight I go to bed praying my feet touch the floor the next day...I am 58 and acting like I am 35...I am enjoying my life and hope to see my daughter walk the aisle before I go..

And when you guys start turning 40, you will realize that your father wasn't so dumb afterall...

Whatever age I go, I will die a happy camper...

Sorry to hear you feel that way. You've always been one of the TRUE CLASS acts on this forum. I am currently 51 and luckily feeling pretty good. THANK GOD.

i appreciate the honesty in some of these posts...its definitely a weird subject to discuss on a sports forum...

i also think about death a lot....im gonna be 32 this summer i hope if im healthy to live to 80 anything after that is playing with the house money....the last of my grandparents died about 7years ago or so and he lived into his 80's and i honestly felt at the funeral his life should be celebrated and not mourned....thats sorta how i feel about old age (75+) ...he got to see all his kids grow up and get married etc....funny thing is he was one of the many new englanders who never got to see the redsox win the WS and that was the last thing in his life he would have wanted to see....

long enough that I am at peace with all the relationships in my life and satisfied with my accomplishments. I have a feeling when your on the death bed, about to check out and reflecting on those things... everything else is worthless.

I aint' there yet.

I hope they science discovers a way to keep people alive for a decade or longer by the time I get to be in my 50's or 60's.

Count on it, brother

One of the primary reasons for death before age 80+ is organ breakdown. Look for increased availability of younger organs for transplant during the coming years.

As for the Topic question, I'd be thrilled to live as many years as I'm both mentally able and physically able. With the latter being defined as my being able to walk without undue discomfort and also be able to lift reasonable weights (20-30lbs).

And oh yeah, I need to be able to move the mail without assistance

You should see a doc and ask about GH and test replacement - at least get your levels checked

Ted NO Your Not

I figure I'm living on borrowed time already at 61.

You have too much fun in life, as do I. Even thru some of our physical infirmaties. I want to see my GDaughter graduate from HS. 3 more Yrs, or Foots KO's however you want to look at it. And who knows there still may be that someone worth a "double look"!! We all say "I don't want to live past", but when that time comes we all want a little more of this sweet journey! :toast:

In my mid 40's. Still feel like I'm in my mid 20's.
I weight lift daily, eat right, don't smoke, don't drink soda, drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep.

That's a great idea for men. It's called HRT.
Steroids & GH get a bad rap by the media. Talk to your Doctor or Pharmacist about HRT.
