Till I reach 2500 posts if I don't quit smoking or maybe 80 years if I do. That's it, I'll try to quit 11-1-2014

The day any of the following happen:

Don't know where I'm at (sober)
Acquire a deadly disease that won't get better
Go blind
Lose a limb in a freak accident
Get my nuts blown off by whatever (or dick)
Attend any event hosted by JustinCruise (won't happen)
Pissing or shitting myself (again sober)

You come across as obsessed with the "Cowgirls". Have you ever seen me talk bad about the Eagles other than today? No? That's because they aren't even remotely on my radar. Eagles Shmeagles. Win a SB and get back to me.

Happy Halloween! We’re all going to die someday!

At least that’s the conceit of a new $1 iOS app called Deadline. It culls information from Apple’s brand new wellness data center, HealthKit, asks you a few basic questions, and then crunches some numbers to tell you how long you’ll live.

It’s not meant to be some spoOoOoky Grim Reaper-esque invention, but rather “a way to motivate yourself to be healthier, and consult a physician as necessary.”

It works like this: When you open the app, it’ll ask for permission to access a list of biometrics: your sex, birthday, different types of blood pressure, height, quality of sleep, activity, and weight. These are all metrics that your iPhone’s Health app can track changes in, either through sensors in the iPhone, or through gadgets that can connect to your i-device.

This way the app can update your time of death depending on any new information HealthKit gathers as you go about your daily life.

After that, it’ll ask you a few questions about how much you drink and smoke and drive in cars and stress out.

Then Deadline will use whatever magical algorithm it has come up with to estimate how much longer you have to live, along with a countdown dashboard.

Of course, that number isn’t set in stone. There are all sorts of fun things like freak accidents and Ebola to keep death near and dear. But if all else goes well, I am going to live till I’m 77, according to Deadline, and I am perfectly fine with that. How cool would the latest iPhone be by then anyway?

I like what Steven Wright, the comic, once said: "I plan on living forever. So far so good."

CoachCB aka Rx resident internet tough guy has threatened to kill me 3 times so far so I guess I'll have to revise my number down a month or two

[h=1]Americans Are Bad at Guessing How Long They’ll Live[/h]
In 1992, researchers at the University of Michigan‘s Health and Retirement Study began asking people in their late 50s to estimate their odds of living to the age of 75, and have followed them since. New research, being presented today at the Brookings Institution, shows just how poor a job those initial respondents have done.

Among the people who thought they had no chance of living to age 75 (presumably, a group in very bad health in their late 50s), nearly half of them–49%–actually reached the age of 75.
Among people who gave themselves 50-50 odds, a full 75% actually lived to age 75. In fact, aside from people who gave themselves 90% or 100% odds of living to age 75, nearly everyone was too pessimistic about their chances. (Though people who give themselves 100% odds aren’t being terribly realistic.)
