Bama is really, really good. But conversely, the SEC as a whole is really, really bad. In years past, I don't think you'd see "top-tier" teams getting beat on their home turf 49-10. I think teams like Tenn, UF, UGa are not really good and when they play Bama they really get exposed. But Bama is really, really good.
There is no QB talent in the SEC. Take the talent of Tenn, and add a QB like Luke Falk of WSU, or Baker Mayfield, or Davis Webb and the team would be really good. I'm not sold on Dobbs, or Del Rio, or whoever LSU wants to roll out. I like the kid at Ole Miss, but he's a knucklehead. For all the talent on the lines of scrimmage, and at the skill positions, I see much better QB play on Friday nights here in Texas. Which BTW where Bama got their QB from. Channelview, TX.
Anyone that follows the SEC closely and unbiased will tell you the SEC East has been down for some time. Tenner was way over hyped this year.
Bama is by far number one, A&M is obviously number 2 and ripe for their usually second half collapse but until then solid number 2. Then after this weekend even trying to remove my bias at this point you have to put Arkansas as the number 3 team in the league and they will play every team you can put in the argument to knock them out of number 3 in the SEC. We've seen it all the way back to 2009 or 10 that the SEC W is the most competitive division in all of college football and they are pretty much responsible for the fame that the SEC gets ever since Tebow left Florida.
