My initial reaction was to chuckle at the use of "sport" when talk about the hot dog eating contest, much like everyone else.
Then when CK said "if someone is great in his field give him credit, dont you think that a fair statement", I thought that opened up a lot of doors. Anything can be considered a sport using that definition.
Then I looked up the definition of sport; an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
I guess CK may be right, that competing against others makes it a sport.
However, it still silly to call him some all-time great athlete. I don't think there's very much competition in his field of sports.
