How come the people who swear by Iowa don't live in the state?

It is one of those great places to be from.

If not for the winters, the decision to live there would be a very, very easy one.

Can't wait for tornados. We had one clean out a town near us a few years ago. It actually improved that town quite a bit. I see you're from Michigan. I spent a summer in Grand Rapids playing baseball. That was a great summer. The weather was pretty nice there.

It is one of those great places to be from.

Exactly. It's a good place to learn family values and the benefits of hard work. However, people in that area of the country are often intolerant of people who aren't just like them since most of the people are the same. This tends to lead the people to be moralistic toward people who aren't just like them. Not a good place for a free-thinker to meet up with like-minded people.

Besides, it's fun to be in cold weather when you're a kid but not so fun as an adult as we lose our tolerance for the cold when we get older.
