TT: So it's ok if a woman kills a 10 minute old baby? Is it more damaging to society to charge her with murder than the loss of this 10 minute old?

BAR: Yes. It is better to allow her to make the final decision than it is to charge her, the doctor, his nurses and anyone who financed the procedure with murder and then having them executed.

TT: I find it fascinating that since there is still debate about the point at which a fetus is defined as a person, the pro-killers want to give the benefit of the doubt to the woman instead to a defencless baby.

BAR: Yes. If it were my wife, sister or other loved one and she wanted to terminate the pregnancy at any time, I would take her side before I would take the side of the fetus.

Most Americans think like me.

Many think like you.

We have you outnumbered.

Deal with it however you think is best.

I really hope you responded that way because you misunderstood my question. When I said 10 minute old baby, I meant a baby delivered out of the womb. If you are advocating that the mother still has the right to terminate a 5 minute year old, then you, the mom and anyone else associated would face some serious jail time.

Most Americans don't think like you. Most Americans are against partial birth abortions. Here we go spinning again.

who cares what most americans think. either it is murder or it is not. what most americans think has nothing to do with it.

if most americans decided to stop believing in gravity, and congress passed a law stating gravity no longer applies in america, i don't think i'd start floating around my house.

TT, you are right...oops.

I did indeed thought I read "baby 10 minutes FROM being born".

So I revise my response to say no, a woman should NOT have a choice to terminate an already born child.

BLUE: who cares what most americans think. either it is murder or it is not. what most americans think has nothing to do with it.

BAR: I don't care whether Americans believe in gravity or not. It's a physical law and does not depend on a percentage of Americans believing in it. In other words, no percentage of Americans could reverse the law of gravity.

However, I DO care what Americans think about the topic of terminating pregnancies.

IF most Americans believed that an abortion is murder and should lead to the mother, her doctor, the nurses and any financial supporters being charged with murder and subject to execution, I would be very concerned, since such a majority could lead to a change in the law.

Fortunately, most Americans don't believe that terminating a pregnancy is murder and I'd like to see it stay that way.

Yes, but 50% of Americans think abortion should be illegal and a higher percentage think partial birth abortions should be outlawed.

I don't for a second believe that 50% of Americans think abortion should be illegal. I think maybe 50% wish it didn't happen, but I highly doubt if a national referendum came up you could get a majority voting to make abortion illegal in all cases. You might get it on the partial birth issue, but a blanket banning when much of the industrialized world allows it...I just can't see that happening. People when surveyed on a topic like that get sentimental and idealistic, but when you put it in practical terms in front of them for a vote I don't think you get nearly the same numbers.

Think what you are saying for a minute. If only 50% wish it didn't happen, then America has become a very sick society. That means 50% would really love to see every pregnant woman get an abortion. I think only the feminists and the very far left movement really want to see that.

Typical BS from you there, why would anyone want to post a point if you are just going to make lies and try to turn anything they say against them? I said 50% wish it didn't happen, not 50% wish it happened to every pregnant woman!!! 100% spin on your part TT, that is disgusting.

More than 50% of the population would like women to have the option, but that doesn't mean they want every opportunity to turn into an abortion. Nor would they expect that to happen as obviously more often than not preganant women have their babies.

Easily the most idiotic thing that's been posted on this board.

Yeah, it pretty much is the silliest spin in this entire thread.

But it does tie this thread up nicely, since TTeller started it by saying that since John Kerry won't march with the pro-lifers he MUST be in favor of all women getting abortions...the damn MURDERER.

Yeah, since I am against mandatory seat belt laws, I want everyone to not wear seat belts and DIE in a car wreck.

Since I am not in favor of drugs being illegal, I want everyone to overdose and DIE on a bad heroin injection.

It's not that hard a leap, is it??
