I am very new at this so everything I know is from web pages I read. If you get a loan from a loan shark you are supposed to say "you might wager some of it" before you receive the money. That way, even if you don't, it makes the loan a gambling debt which then becomes uncollectable in court. Not all loan sharks are illegal. Some even have better rates than going to a paycheck cash advance place. But of course they don't tell you how to find them. If you do a search on Google for "loanshark" you get tons of information on how to handle the transaction but nothing on where to make the transaction. That is why I posted here. The odds are I won't even go to a loan shark. I'll be able to pay off my debt in less than a month anyway. And even if I don't, so what? Some people are in huge debt, I'm not. I just thought it would be fun to ask, I've been a lurker on this board for a while. I think this is totally interesting and love what everyone is saying. I think some people need to lighten up a little bit but even the nasty posts add some flavor. Now that I've posted I plan on posting a lot more. I doubt my future posts will have this kind of response but I have to tell you this is a great way to spend a Saturday morning while your waiting for the Cubs game to start so you can see them get their butts handed to them again.
On a side note, has anyone noticed that the Brew Crew is only 8 games out now?!? I am a huge Brewer fan and love talking about them. In fact I have every news-paper clipping after the All-Star game from 1982! They are 5-2 against 1st place teams in their last 7 games AND more impressively they are at .500 on the road! They'll be in the mix for 1st place by August. Bet on it! (little pun there)
