Exactly.
Not saying the thread had went differently and more "pros" had chimed in or more useful posts would have been made. But if your intent really was to get a discussion going about NBA betting approaches or problems someone might run into if he goes pro and/or wants to get down "higher" amounts than the average recreational bettor, I'm sure a different initial post would have gone a long way.
There won't be much positive discussion and a lively participation coming from a thread that starts off with "I had a great year, my record was, how was yours". And yes, I'm with you that the ensuing bashing was pointless. If you went 40-30, 50-20 or whatever doesn't really change anything and documenting your record at site X or at the RX itself doesn't make any difference as long as those stats at place X can't be manipulated.
Besides that I never got it anyways why people get so focused on records: You get a feeling on who knows his shit and who doesn't rather quickly, so the records doesn't matter that much and ppl should just find knowledgable posters and try to pull some good info out of those posts instead of focussing on records (because even if a record is accurate, following somebody will turn out slightly different because you will not be able to always get the same line or odds on any bet).
Whatever: Like Harry, I only wish you the best and sincerely best of luck making it in LV as a sportsbettor.
