Agreed, of all the whack jobs in this forum, he's far away the biggest one. The babbling to himself for as many as 9 straight posts is beyond creepy. He is in serious need of psychotherapy...

Definitely the weirdest dude here. He even surpassed Canadian Joe. And I never thought that would be possible. Ace is mentally deranged. Poor fella.

Ballmer officially takes over as owner of the Clippers. The NBA barely had to do anything. A very easy and quick transaction. Formal apologies only please! Thanks!

Put your money up then.

I'll put down a crisp $100 that says he will still be the owner of the Clippers come tip off of next year's NBA season.

Stipulations:

1) He can't sell the team on his own. He must be forced.
2) The bet doesn't end when the owners vote him off the island. It ends when he sells based on a court decision.
3) He can't voluntarily give the team to a relative or his estranged wife.

It ends when the NBA forces him to sell his franchise against his will.

Dang, that's embarrassing... it's all good though. I'm not like Acebb, I'll only post this once.

Took about 3 and a half months to force the sale of a multi-billion dollar asset. That's how powerful the NBA is. You guys acting like Donald Sterling was special because he was a billionaire with lawyers as if the rest of the NBA and Steve Ballmer doesn't have the best lawyers money can buy. Foolish. New owner in before the start of the new season as predicted. Carry on armchair lawyers... and don't give me any half assed apologies either. I want the works.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer became the new owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday, the league said.

The sale marks the end of Clippers ownership by billionaire Donald Sterling, who battled his estranged wife, Shelly, in a California probate court last month over control of the couple's trust, which owned the NBA franchise.

Donald Sterling, 80, lost that legal battle when the California probate judge ruled that the deal by Shelly Sterling to sell the Clippers to Ballmer could move forward. Donald Sterling bought the Clippers in 1981 for about $12 million and was the longest-tenured owner in the NBA.
The negotiated $2 billion sale price is a record for an NBA team.

In April, Sterling came under fire for making racist remarks against African-Americans in comments to his companion V. Stiviano. The recorded conversation was published online.
In response, the NBA banned Sterling for life, fined him the maximum $2.5 million and moved toward terminating the Sterlings' ownership rights in the franchise.

The sale of the Clippers closed after "the entry of an order by a California court confirming the authority of Shelly Sterling, on behalf of the Sterling Family Trust, to sell the team," the NBA said Tuesday.

"The NBA Board of Governors previously approved the sale and Ballmer is now the Clippers Governor," the basketball league said.

What does #1 say AK? He can't sell the team on his own. He must be forced. Donald Sterling would've never sold this team on his own.

What Enfuego meant to say was...

Sir Akphidelt,

I deeply regret questioning your real world knowledge. I have learned a serious lesson and I will start asking questions instead of making uninformed comments. My actions towards you were unwarranted and barbaric. I will forever be in your debt.

Sincerest Apologies,
Enfuego

Thanks bud!!

I'm not quite sure what any of us said that was inaccurate? Fill me in.

1) He would not give up the team without a fight. - True
2) A court would most likely force Sterling to sell the Clips. - True
3) The situation was unpredictable and none of us know what would happen. - True

I don't think I recall any one of us every saying it wasn't possible the team would be sold. We said all along the team would be sold with a fight and a court order and the outcome would be very unpredictable.

And THAT's The Bottom Line, Good call Aki back on page 1 of this ridiculous thread. Winding Road to get there.

Thanks bro. People acted like the NBA was the govt. You can't fuck with the NBA. They are more powerful than any owner. 3 and a half months to close this ordeal with this much money at stake is crazy. But there was no way he'd be owner next season.

LOL, NBA had nothing to do with this. It took a court decision to force Sterling to sell. That's what happened.

Scum wrong about everyone from start to finish, yet I suppose he and the three stooges think otherwise.

Please do tell what were the correct positions.

1) the NBA forced the sale? OR An Obscure Little Used probate court regulation enabled the sale to proceed to protect the value of an asset? Without an astronomical offer on the table, Shelly's atty never get to make that argument, the battle continues (although it may not be over yet)

2) the owners will vote 29-0 to end this quickly? Or the owners will not have such a vote because they're setting themselves up for litigation? How did that vote go?

3) sterling won't even fight, it's a slum dunk? Or sterling will fight and it was anything but a slam dunk? If there wasn't a 2 billion dollar offer, if the offer was for FMV, there's no such ruling enabling the sale to proceed.

4) the lying scum has real world experience with this unprecedented legal matter? Scum showed throughout the thread he had zero knowledge about legal matters?

At the end of the day, the debate was not about the sale vs no sale, it was about the process. Scum actually batted less than his 39% average at picking games, yet he calls himself a winner.

Some stuff never changes, he and they are simply intellectually inferior.

Lmao!! Willie still trying to claim they weren't forced to sell.

The NBA said, if you don't sell by this date we are going to vote, you'll lose that vote, and we'll sell the team for you. Everything Donald and Shelly requested was denied as the NBA said they have to give up complete ownership rights to the team. So Shelly put on an expedited sale to beat the NBA deadline.

I guess this is not a forced sale in Willie's opinion. They just happened to want to sell the team at the same time the NBA was forcing them to, lol.

Can't educate stupid people that are older than 50.

Speaking of Intelluctually Inferior, Wrong Way Wrong Yet again. His Always Wrong in the Poli Forum streak extends to the RR. You cannot be more correct than the bottom line statement Aki made on page 1. Of course Wrong Way cannot fathom a correct result, since the idiot still thinks he was right about the 2008, 2012 Elections, and the "Bush Boom". Of course the Gutless Pussy will now try to make it about everything else BUT the final result. But we grade by final results in the world of sports, and life, and Aki nailed it.

The forced sale was decided by a court of law not the NBA which is what we all said was the most likely outcome. The NBA had zero to do with him being forced to see his team.
