They take your temperature just as you walk in. It’s done by a thermal camera and it’s pretty fast. I think if your a bit overheated you have to step aside for a little bit to cool off before going through again. If you fail your not aloud in.

I think it was at COSMO,the people coming in were supposed to go to the left after the temp, but people were rushing in and going to the right without their temp taken,...i don't think its going to be that easy to control,......and the video showed that nobody was wearing masks

OK, now we'll just have to let time do it's thing

We'll know soon enough, before September we should have a good sense

Bigbet is probably right about some of the small businesses not coming back. But , I can see new businesses formulating from this too.. Starting over under different name etc.. Might be an advantage for some going a different route. BK might have played to their advantage

I think the rebound you speak of is those that can afford it still going out, but a lot of businesses won’t rebound. And that’s sad. The economy hasn’t shown the signs of devastation yet, it’s coming and it will be ugly.

And there are plenty of those as many of us found out, not all businesses just shut down. No one at my wife's company stopped working. Plenty in my old neck of the woods could easily keep going with the use of this handy little thing called a computer. Most of my favorite restaurants are packed now (we just went to 75%). My gym just opened with limited capacity and others have been opened since the 18th of last month. I'm still making more than prior to the lock down. I just had a nice conversation with one of my clients that was one of the "bubble" people that Willie talks about. He tried to harp on the increase in cases of the virus, and some edging up of hospitalizations last week. I shot out a ton of data to him (he's not one of those intellectually rigid and close minded idiots like these useful idiots on this board). I pointed out that we have 2000 in the hospital but have 15,000 available beds. And then the thing that opened his eyes the most was that despite reopening and re-introducing people into society, despite those "increased" cases (a complete farce), deaths were declining. Imagine that. He conceded today that he might have been overreacting. Ya think?

I don't buy it will be ugly at all.

We'll move on with our wide, open spaces here in Texas and deaths from this virus that won't surpass the 15,000 we lost to the flu/pneumonia in 2017. We'll still have some Howie Mandel's when this thing is over (some will be germophobes for the rest of their lives and that will be something for them to deal with). I'll continue to shake my head at those so politically rigid that they would want to wish ill will on others regarding the virus. I'll still wave a middle finger at those that play the victim card and commit violence, loot, and destroy property, and the morons that donate money to enable this activity. Regardless of who's in the White House, there is seriously something sick about people that want destruction to continue because of their political beliefs.

Vegas Baby! Looking forward to my trip in mid-July.

Re: the recovery...don't forget everyone got their $1200 and the people who needed it the most are not going to put it in CD's. They are going to spend it. In addition, it's a windfall for another segment of the population who were not anywhere near the money they are getting from unemployment. That is all money directly back into the economy. In Vegas, everytime a casino opens unemployed people drop by about one percent in the state. The state governments will be hard hit with cutbacks and layoffs which is a cause for celebration.

Just spent the night at the Beau in Biloxi. Wasn't crowded at all for a Friday. Mask were only required if the table didn't have the plexiglass barriers. The vibe was definitely low key. The craps tables were 25$ minimum which didn't surprise me even though there were only 2 open and only 2 or 3 players at each.

Especially agree on the unemployment. I suspect there were many (not all) that did better. I didn't realize what a difference that extra bump up would mean and have read many stories of people feeling like they got a bit of a windfall (that combined with the stimulus). We also have the banks allowing for up to 12 months of forbearance (people only having to pay property tax and insurance). The additional principal at the end of 12 months will be added onto the loan in 36 equal payments. Assuming things are fully functional by then, and people are at least prudent, I'm not sure how much of a hit it will be on them. I suspect pricing there wouldn't be much different than the area I live in Texas. Our mortgage is $2k on this house (rental). Our tenants have been timely on their payments (just like our home in the San Francisco area). If I were to use the forbearance for say 6 months, it would probably only add $166 to the monthly (really not a big deal).
