Mentioned already, in CT they're on reservations and not subjected to this stuff

Haven't heard of "crowds" gathering to protest them remaining open. Somewhat astonishing to me. Guess someone with too much time on their hands hasn't thought of that.

Just went to Turning Stone Casino in upstate NY and it was pretty busy for 8am. Pit boss said no closure in sight as of now. But they will close once it's a mandatory quarantine for everyone to stay home.

I like Joe Lupo's, President of the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City comment. You can go to a supermarket, go to an airport and go to a casino. That's an intelligent comment. Two of those are essential to the daily lives of people, the third is not. How can Illinois close their casinos yet Las Vegas and Atlantic City sit idly by. It shows how this country isn't serious about actually stopping the spread of the virus.

Regarding the topic, Oaklawn not allowing folks in, but the casino is....:think2:

We all love to get away. So when situations such as this bring uncertainty to travel, we are committed to providing the highest level of service while ensuring the safest experience possible for each of our guests and team members. This is our highest priority.

We, like all of you, have been closely monitoring the developments regarding COVID-19. The situation has been evolving rapidly and we are working to respond rapidly. Our Emergency Management Team continues to work closely with local officials as we follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD).

We are taking appropriate steps to protect our guests and team members as outlined by the CDC and the SNHD. Further, we are prepared to follow any additional protocols or guidance, as they are made available. We have always performed routine environmental cleaning and we adhere to the recommendations set forth in the United States EPA Emerging Pathogen Policy regarding cleaning and disinfectants.

While visiting, should you need emergency assistance, we always have dedicated trained EMT (Emergency Medical Technicians) on staff 24 hours a day, a service we have provided for some time.

Preventative Measures

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In addition to our usual cleaning procedures we have dedicated staff to focus exclusively on the safeguards we have put in place throughout the resort. These include:

 • We are cleaning our casino chips once a day with disinfectant.

In addition, we are encouraging our team members and guests to take the same precautions against COVID-19 that are taken to combat the common cold and flu viruses. We encourage our team members and guests to adhere to the following guidelines:
