Surprise division winners

Jets will win the AFC East

Yes, the New York Jets (6-3) will beat out the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots for the division title. They haven't won their division since 2002, and ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) is giving them just a 9.6% chance to do it. But New York is 4-0 on the road and has one of the best defenses in the NFL.
I think quarterback Zach Wilson can keep the mistakes to a minimum, allowing the Jets to pull out one of the closest divisions in football. -- Damien Woody, NFL analyst

They are having a good year but:

They beat Cleveland with 2 TD's in the last 2 minutes by getting an onside kick

They beat Miami when they injured the backup QB on the first play of the game and let the 3rd string rookie play the whole game. Yeah the score looks like a blowout but the dolphins missed a makeable FG in the 4th quarter that would have given them the lead

They won at denver with Russell Wilson not playing

They have looked good so far but they also have to travel to:

New England
Minny
Buf
Seattle
Miami

Will they contend for a playoff spot? yes
Will they make the playoffs? probably not

However those who bet them over 5.5 or 6.5 wins, BEAUTIFUL call
