Now that I have a sec...my brief reasoning for tonight's game:
In a nutshell: Despite being an overall cold team lately, LA is the better team in tonight's match up. Particularly, I give the pitching advantage to LA. On its face, Slowey's stats have been very good so far this season but it has mostly been done with smoke and mirrors. Majority of his season has been against poor offensive teams. I expect LA's offense to catch up to him tonight. In a small sample, LA has a .400 BA vs. Slowey with a .419 OBP. On the other side, I like Ryu against a banged up and poor Miami offense. He's faced a little tougher competition than Slowey and been pretty good. He has a great SO/INNING ratio (48/43) and, specifically, he has been good at home with 3 quality starts against 3 pretty good teams. Miami bats have not faced Ryu so they will have a hard time figuring him out especially the first couple of times through the lineup. Also, I love the situation as well as today's line movement. Both point toward a LA win. I know it's really juicy, but I believe it is well worth it in what I consider to too be too much of a mismatch.
*LA Dodgers -186
*I show -199 now but got it at -186 earlier when I first posted the play this morning.
