Siena +18.5/+18
Simply think this number is too high. Pitt should win this game, but I expect Siena to compete in this one, and maybe fall by 8-10. There is no way Siena will be intimidated, in fact they will enter this game expecting to win. That's the exact mind set I want of a team I am backing, and to be able to catch 18+ when you think your going to win more power to you. There is no denying Siena has the talent to play with Pitt. They may be a little thin up front to bang with Blair, and Young, but Ryan Rossiter is an experience post player who will not be afraid. In fact against a beast in Brian Williams, and an athletic Vol team, he grabbed 14 rebounds, then another 6 against Oklahoma St. Numbers like that against quality competition shows me that he is capable of holding his own down low. Plus the athleticism of the Siena guards, and forwards help out nicely on the glass. Both 6'5 Alex Franklin, and 6'6 Edwin Ubiles average more than 5rpg. Now I am not saying they will win the battle in the paint, but they should be able to hold their own, and remain competitive. That will be the key to the game. Pitt has a big advantage down low with Blair, and Young, but Siena is athletic enough on the wings to give Pitt problems. Pitt also has the tendency to sleep walk through some games. This is Siena's last big chance to impress before conference play so I am expecting a concentrated effort, and an easy cover.
