I've followed you [homedawg] and Gimmedatt for a few weeks now, and your comments on Ohio St sparked me to register. I think your assessment is wrong about them as I've watched every game so far. Their offense can be inconsistent at times but they are a defensive team first and foremost...that is where the loss of David Lighty hurts them the most not on the offensive end. As far as the size, Mullens or Lauderdale (or potentially both) will start - they both have the same wingspan, so its not as if they are undersized. Also, about you saying Diebler is inconsistent, he's shooting 40% from the 3 this year - if thats terribly inconsistent I'll take it.

The line I see now is OSU -2 and I'm going to put two more units on it I think.

BOL, and if OSU wins by 3 then we all win :D

35-28 WVU and 37-28 Louisvile at half.

WVU is in a good spot, but I have a feeling Louisville will blow them out in the 2nd half.

I am not the best at getting my exact thoughts into sentence form, but I never really implied that Ohio St is an offense first team. I know they win games with defense, and Lightly would be missed in that aspect first and foremost. But he is another guy who will give you 9ppg, and for a team that struggles to score, that is a big 9 points.
Also I know that I mentioned something about sign, but size isn't the only factor in rebounding. WVU just has a knack for it and has much better overall rebounding numbers on the season. I felt that was a spot where they could exploit Ohio St and they did. I just mentioned the height thing because Mullens hasn't started the whole year. The main point I wanted to get across was WVU's ability to dominate the glass, it didn't really have anything to do with height.
As far as Diebler I just don't like him as a player. He was pretty much terrible last season, so i guess if you are looking from last season to this he is inconsistent. He is obviously having a much better season, mainly due to experience he has gained, but I don't think he has been the player Matta expected when he recruited him as an explosive scorer. I think his shot selection is awful, and is an average player.
I know hindsight is 20/20, but obvioulsy I felt very strongly that WVU was going to win this one easily.

GL with your Buckeyes the rest of the season:toast:

I leaned Hawaii strong, but just decided to pass all together after the tough day. I think they win this one pretty easily

But covered their last 2 out of 3 and one of those had no line. So technically they are 2 - 0 against the spread in their last 2 available plays! That makes me feel a little bit safer! Thanks again Mr. Homedawg!

HD,

Great call on WVU. That is how your biggest play of the day is supposed to go. I realize it wasn't as great of a day as you would have hoped for but I wanted to give you props on really knowing your Big East bball. I will forever defer to you when it comes to Big East. I will try to come up big in the Big 12 as that is by far the conference I know the best. Good luck the rest of the way.
