Have you called them and asked for a payment deferment? My wife has SL payments and a few years ago she had several payments deferred to the end of the loan. I don't recall exactly how many, but I think it was at least 6 months work. Check into it if you haven't already. Doesn't mean it's going away forever, obviously, but could give you some time to get money in.
