CG...why do you always seem to wait until the night before or day-of to cap the games and make the picks? These lines are out so early, if you really did like the Bills I bet you could have gotten 7.5 at some point during the week. Granted, lines move and sometimes it's hard to predict which way, but when it opens around key number it's so important to get it on the right side. Even if it moves in your favor later, getting that extra hook is still important (w/o having to pay for it too).
Just seems you are impulsively playing these prime-time games and not mapping your week out better to maximize your chances.
Of course, I'm sure this will all fall on deaf ears.

CG is a decent capper but lets be honest he is just an action junkie like 99% of gamblers including me. Like Jack said these Vegas lines are out way in asvance and he would be crunching numbers right at open and seeing if he can get the best value. Instead he goes game by game needing action and letting his last bet dictate how much he bets on the next game he can cap on the spot. Really hope he does turn into the next Billy Walters as I have always rooted for CG but he is going to have to refine his strategy big time to be successful. 1 day off I can remember since he has been sharing his journey.

Understood. I do the same thing, and sometimes end up kicking myself for not planning it out better. Doesn't always work that way though, and hate using 1 game as an example, but in general, when I like a dog and it opens at +7.5 or +3.5, +10.5 etc, I will just jump on it for 1 unit. If later in the week after looking closer at it, and the line either stayed there or moved in my favor, I'll possibly add a unit to it.
Wander is right though, you are an action junkie, like most of us, myself included. Nothing wrong with that in theory, of course, I am not doing this to make a living.
A little (really, just a little to start) more planning could go a long way. If you want to make this your business, your livelihood, run it like one. I know, blah blah blah advice. No worries, just thoughts.

@Computer Group - it definitely opened at 7.5/8 and stayed there all week. Moved to 7 late Saturday/early Sunday for sure.

Forget Billy Walters if CG is even able to demonstrate the ability to turn a profit in a given time period that would be an accomplishment. He has no plan, no money management, nothing. It was very obvious from the beginning of his journey 10-11 months ago that he was going to end up failing.

For last night's game, I saw on Vegas Insider that some Vegas based books had it at 7.5 at some point during the week. I cannot (obviously) verify that from my office in Chicago though. LOL. And not sure how long those lines were available.
Anyway, that was just one example of a ongoing struggle to get the best line during the week, not just the day of the game.

Yup......all the reputable casinos & offshore books had the line at 7 from Tuesday or Wed on.......I didn't see any 7.5's anywhere, it was snatched up quickly.......
No freaking way did any book have 7.5 on Friday thru Monday unless you were buying the hook like my dumb azz should have done on the Pats.
