Exceptional post by MUTCER! :toast:
It's the truth incubus.
Brady is a true coward And it was a disgusting move to pull on someone down to his last scraps.

We all took shots at Nick
I mean how could you not with the out of control behavior. But to string someone along when he is in a real bad place is bullshit and cowardly.

Brady
Go eat a bag of dicks.

meh, what's the difference? You're all stringing this douche along giving him false hope that he's going to make a comeback from -70k. A couple of wins and it's right back to inferno/raging time.
What I find disturbingly sad about Brady is that he feels the need to brag and pretend to a bunch of anonymous degens on a forum. That is so awkward and pathetic.

Wrong,
We are hoping he wins a few to pay his rent for this month as his jobs finally start.

I am the guy who told him when he had all that money left to stop gambling stop the drug usage and get a job.

I am still that guy.
Just don't see the need to stick a foot in his mouth when both socks are already there.

mute your not the only one telling him to get a job. I told him after 3 months you had your fun. Now get job as ticket writer or something. 1year later he decides.again blowing $13,000 in 10 days. I told him pay 3 months rent & save some for taxs. But noooo. He had his cuz & friend in town thise days. Had to show them good time. Instead quit betting take this cash & rest rent on credit card.no im afraid he will blow must of this betting. Yes mute brady is shit is a #1 jerkoff of all time. I believed him a bit until $20 website, movie, book deal &private company jet.

Okay baronman agreed.
Also Nick behaved like spoiled rotten kid when he still had a bankroll.
It's gone now.
The kid is fighting for survival.
Do you really think that we should continue to bash his skull in for all of his past indiscretions?

He knows he fucked up, at this point what is there to save?
The kid starts working in a day or two.

A ticket writer making 8 bucks an hour?
How is that gonna stop the bleeding?
As far as uber goes
Nick was truthful
They are not allowed to accept tips.
Just found that out yesterday when one of my customers used uber to go home.
6 dollar ride in which uber takes a percentage.

The kid needs to make real money and fast or else he is going back to Jersey fast.
Probably the best thing for him to be with family and re-establish a real life with real people.

Advice giving should be over.
There is no bankroll to save
We all tried in our own way to help Nick and have him be successful
He didn't listen
It's over
No need to continue nailing him on the cross.
If anything
We should feel empathy even if we didn't aprove of the things he did.
That is a human trait that shouldn't be lost.

I don't consider him a "kid". He doesn't know he fucked up, if he did he would stop posting and stop gambling, he just says he knows he fucked up after a string of losses. He is not gonna start working, not at a real job, not this guy. I'll save my empathy for more deserving guys.

Just a word of advice on the job hunt. I know you said you put out a bunch of apps (I assume via email?), and haven't heard back. If it's been a week already, time to start showing up in person and asking for the hiring manager/general manager and being persistent about it.

How long was your bartending class (a few weeks?) How many graduated? How many times a year do they have these classes? My point being that all these others are out there apping the shit out of places too. You don't seem the type to stand out on a resumé. Get your FACE out there, show them you are seriously looking. And don't stop at the leads and places the school set you up with. Hit every bar in the area, regardless if they're hiring or not.

Just some advice. Managers generally want someone who shows initiative, so be persistent.

Curious if anyone on here knows but about 5 years or so ago another guy on this forum did what Nick is doing. Moved to Vegas and tried to go pro. I think his name was Iceman. His profile doesn't seem to have any of the activity from his journey. If I remember correctly he was married, moved from Chicago with his wife. She found nursing job in Vegas while he bet on sports all day. Lol.
