Senator Mike Lee Unloads on Why He Can’t Embrace Donald Trump

Senator Mike Lee, Republican of Utah, on Capitol Hill in February. CreditDrew Angerer for The New York TimesDonald J. Trump has asked Republicans who do not have anything nice to say about him to not say anything at all.
But Senator Mike Lee, the Republican from Utah, could not help himself.
Mr. Lee, a close friend of Mr. Trump’s former primary opponent, Senator Ted Cruz, let his true feelings be known on Wednesday night in an interview with Newsmax when he was asked why he had not endorsed the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Faced with the prospect of a Hillary Clinton presidency, how could he not?
“Well, we can get into that if you want,” Mr. Lee said. “I mean we can get into the fact that he accused my best friend’s father of conspiring to kill J.F.K.”
The comment was a reference to Mr. Trump’s insinuation that Mr. Cruz’s father was involved with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.
Not finished, Mr. Lee went on to express concern about things that Mr. Trump has said about Muslims and how that turns off voters in his state, which has a large Mormon population.
“We can go through the fact that he has made some statements that some have identified correctly as religiously intolerant,” Mr. Lee said.
He added: “We can get into the fact that he is so unpopular because my state consists of members who were a religious minority church — a people who were ordered exterminated by the governor of Missouri in 1839, and statements like that make them nervous.
The remarks from Mr. Lee reflect the raw feelings among some Republicans toward Mr. Trump that are lingering after a primary race that devolved into ugly personal attacks and conspiracy theories dished out by the Manhattan businessman. That, combined with Mr. Trump’s vague and shifting mix of positions on issues that are held dear by conservatives, have left many Republicans in a tough spot.
Mr. Lee said that he was still open to backing Mr. Trump and that he would not vote for Hillary Clinton. But he remains concerned about Mr. Trump’s faith in facts and uncertain about where he stands.
“I would like some assurances that he is going to be a vigorous defender of the U.S. Constitution, that he is not going to be an autocrat, that he is not going to be an authoritarian,” Mr. Lee said. “That is not an unreasonable demand.”

Sadly, when push comes to shove, I expect Lee to endorse Drumpf, like the rest of the hypocrites. But it's nice to have his words to fall back on, when he's actually honest about Drumpf.

it's kind of pitiful that a card-carrying Trump hater would try shore up his hatred with the words of Mike Lee!
Mike Lee stated the reason for his bombastic flourish was that Trump sullied the name of his 'best friends' father.
I'm then assuming that the best Mike Lee can do for a 'best friend' is Lyin Ted Cruz, 'persona non grata' the most
unwelcomed member of the US Senate.

Love it, establishment folks & libs thoroughly puzzled & disgusted with the rise of Trump.
'As all the old hate words – xenophobe, racist, bigot – have lost their electric charge from
overuse, Trump now is being called a fascist demagogue and compared to Hitler and Mussolini.
Why the hysteria? Comes the reply: Trump’s call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration
tramples all over “American values” and everything we stand for, including the Constitution.

The only thing they can legitimately pin on Trump is that it's obvious that he's a nativist! If in fact
it turns out that a “clash of civilizations” is coming between the West and the Islamic world then
having a Nativist in charge suits me fine.

[h=6]- JULY 01, 2016 -[/h][h=1]DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT ON CONTINUED TERRORIST ATTACKS AGAINST ISRAELI CITIZENS[/h]Yet another terrorist attack today in Israel -- a father, shot at by a Palestinian terrorist, was killed while driving his car and three of his children who were passengers were severely injured. As I did with regard to the brutal murder of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, I strongly condemn this attack and call upon the Palestinian leadership to completely end this barbaric behavior. I also call upon President Obama to recognize and condemn each and every terrorist attack against Israeli citizens. This cannot become the "new normal." It has to end.

[h=6]- JULY 01, 2016 -[/h][h=1]DONALD J. TRUMP STATEMENT ON HALLEL YAFFA ARIEL[/h]I am shocked by the heinous murder of 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel, who was attacked by a Palestinian terrorist while she was sleeping in her bedroom. I extend my deepest condolences to the Ariel family. The continuing incitement and preaching of hate by the Palestinian leadership, and the glorification of terror must end immediately. I call upon the leadership of the Palestinian Authority to condemn this murder and to take concrete steps to end this barbaric behavior.

So tacky and so Trumpish.
Well there you have it… He thinks he is King of the World and she poses like she in an auditon for a James Bond movie. The NRA endorsed Trump.. HA. totally classless and they call themselves conservative. Hypocritical right wing trashed our First Lady because she bared her arms differently. I guess to get millions of voters on the right has proven that all you have to do is bully, threaten violence and have a wife show her ass. So much class...Oh my. I just can’t see these people in the White House.

Fucking slut. Get a new toup, Rum

Safe at Last in the USA
I took down my Confederate flag (which you can't buy on eBay any more), tossed the Don't Tread on Me flag and peeled the NRA sticker off the front door. I gave the pit bull to my mother-in-law and stored my gun. I then disconnected my home alarm system and quit the candy-ass Neighborhood Watch.
Instead of all that silly stuff, I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard. Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN buy on eBay) and ran it up the flag pole. Now, the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7. I've NEVER felt safer and I'm saving $69.95 a month that ADT used to charge me. Plus, I bought burkas for my family. When we shop or travel everyone moves out of the way and security can't pat us down.
safe at last—Is this a great country, or what?

It’s not even close!

We're talking about the presidency(not to mention, 2 women in their 50s and 60s compared to a gold digging mail order bride in her 40s), not how many times you can shoot a boiling load. Be sure to clean off your computer monitor, Tosser Boy.
