Getty ImagesDonald Trump could become the most litigious commander in chief ever elected, according to a new analysis that found an unprecedented number of lawsuits involving a presidential candidate.
Trump and his businesses have been involved in at least 3,500 legal actions in state and federal courts over the last 30 years, a Wednesday USA Today report found.
In more than half of the lawsuits — about 1,900 — Trump or his companies are the plaintiff, while in about 1,450 cases they are the defendant. The rest are bankruptcy or other cases.
The lawsuits involved a range of issues including casino patrons, multi-million dollar real estate lawsuits, personal defamation suits, Trump's golf courses and business ventures.
Trump is known for his legal battles and even threatened his Republican rivals with litigation in his quest to lock up the Republican nomination earlier this year.
While Trump may not have sued any of his political rivals, USA Today found that at least 70 new cases involving the candidate have been filed since he launched his campaign last year.
Fifty civil lawsuits remain open as Trump moves toward officially claiming the nomination at the Republican National Convention in late July, according to the report.
Court documents were released Tuesday in a case brought by former students accusing the now-defunct Trump University of fraud, saying they were misled and left saddled with debt.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton slammed the "fraudulent scheme" after documents in the case were unsealed detailing the for-profit real estate school.

Donald Trump’s campaign issued a video Wednesday featuring three people identified as former Trump University students that represent satisfied customers of that program, which has been a source of intense criticism and legal challenges.
Trump University, later the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative, has been sued by former students as part of two class action suits and is under fire from the New York attorney general on allegations of fraud.
“The recent press attacks upon Trump University have not been an accurate representation of the professionally run school that provided a quality real estate education,” Trump representatives posted along with the video.
The video features Kent Moyer, Casey Hoban and Michelle Gunn — all of whom appear to have some ties to Trump himself.
Hoban, of Connecticut, is the founder of Trimino Protein Water. He has partnered with Trump on the sales and promoted the drink at Trump golf courses, and it is sold at Trump Tower Cafe, according to his social media accounts.
Gunn, of Tennessee, is a real estate investor. She manages her college-aged son, Houston, who wrote a book at 13, Schooled for Success: How I Plan to Graduate from High School a Millionaire. It was endorsed by Donald Trump.

Moyer, of California, Is listed as the CEO of The World Protection Group, an international security firm. He has posted on social media about Trump’s attempt to have Obama release his birth certificate in 2011. Moyer is also a fellow Wharton Business School graduate.
When reached by phone Wednesday, Gunn said she was unavailable to comment on the video.
“I see there are former Trump University students coming out and I have to sit back and think to myself, if they were given the same information, the same education, the same opportunity, how come they didn’t have the same results?” Gunn said in the video.
She said she successfully used tools from the classes on a real estate deal that paid for the cost of the classes.
Hillary Clinton took aim at Trump and the real estate programs Wednesday after news broke that a California judge unsealed hundreds of pages of Trump University manuals that gave detailed instructions to staff on how to aggressively push students to buy tens of thousands of dollars on Trump seminars.

Ret. Iraqi War Army Col. Peter Mansoor: I'm Voting for Hillary
Col. Peter Mansoor
By Todd Beamon | Wednesday, 01 Jun 2016 10:01 PM
A longtime Republican and former top adviser to Gen. David Petraeus in Iraq said Wednesday that he was voting for Hillary Clinton because "Donald Trump is not fit to be president."
"He would be a dangerous person in that office," retired Army Col. Peter Mansoor told Anderson Cooper on CNN. "He would alienate many of America's long-standing allies, can't be trusted on the nuclear trigger, lacks character — and the foundation of knowledge necessary to be an effective president.
Mansoor, 56, was Petraeus' executive officer throughout the war in Baghdad, particularly the 2007 troop surge. He now is an associate professor of military history at Ohio State University.
He ripped Trump on many fronts, saying that the presumptive Republican nominee "opposes free trade among conservative economics — and he would diminish the moral standing in the world with his stance on Muslims and Mexicans and women.
"I cannot support him as president nor would I want him in office.
"My conclusion is I have to vote for the person that has the best chance of beating him," Mansoor said. "I think that's Hillary Rodham Clinton."

Expect to see alot more serious military lifers come out against Drumpf for these reasons in the coming months. As bad as Hillary is to a guy like this, he'd still vote for her. That speaks volumes about how unfit Drumpf is for command.
