Some high school teams play most of their kids both ways, the coach is just concerned about winning. High school kids could play both ways, and then you recruit a few more bodies

Remember, it's the kids THAT VOTED TO QUIT. The administration wanted to salvage to season and I'm trust they would have taken measures to improve the situation

It's ignorant to field a team with less than 30 players imho. With 18 nearly all of them would have had to play both ways plus special teams.

Practices also had to be a joke.

Schools seem very contradictory while emphasizing players' safety, yet allowing 18 player teams.

I'll agree with these comments. Nothing good was going to come of this (probably more likely to have a serious injury). And as tough as people like to talk on the internet, I'd imagine if we could raise the curtain on the people behind the computers, we'd find some to be overweight, and probably more to be obese. I've been seeing it for over 20 years now at all the gyms I've worked at. They're affectionately called the "resolution people". You know the ones I'm talking about. They come in January 1st with guns blazing at how this is the year they finally get back into shape, and they're gone within a month. Any of you been to the bash? How many people would you say are in good shape of the posters that attend? Been to a reunion lately? How do those high schoolers look now. Right now, based on the charts (percent of obesity is color coded), there's plenty of quitting going on (mostly adults). Congrats to Colorado (the only stand alone).

I'm almost one of the people that you are talking about.
I go to the gym for a week, and then catch whatever viral disease is going around.
It takes me about three weeks to recover and then I do it again.

Haha, I didn't even read the thread. Just read the title. It's one of those titles that is self explanatory and downright hilarious. Haha...a good chuckle before bed.
