In the late 70's early 80's, Vietnamese refugees came to this country dealing with handicaps bigger than any person born in this country could even imagine. They were poor, lost everything, lost loved ones and couldn't speak English. They didn't make excuses like the race baiters teach their flock, they worked hard, they worked multiple low paying jobs and they went to school.

No he is not spot on in reference to what I said and tyhat's what his thread is about. I don't say anything about a poor person not being able to make it. I already said I agree that many less fortunate make it in this world. The point in my quote that he stated was that a kid born into poor family does not have the same opportunities as one born into a rich one. It doesn't mean the poor kid still can't make it, but he will have to work alot harder than the rich kid because they don't start out on equal terms.

My kid is a musician and is pretty good. Do you really think it was possible for him to have the same opportunities to make it in the music industry as say someone like Miley Cirrus? Let's face it, some people start out with an advantage over others, that's all I was implying. If you don't agree with that, then I don't know what to say...
