First off, the kid never played a game for UCONN, he was expelled, second off, excessive text messages is a misdemeanor, third off, what happened nearly 2 years ago has no effect what so ever on this season, even if the NCAA levies sanctions (which they probably won't because like I said, the kid was expelled well before ever putting on a uniform)

You honestly believe this is the first instance?

Also, what difference does it make that the kid was expelled.

The fact that the kid never played a game will help out UCONN's case. (I heard that several time from SI and ESPN so called experts)
And no, I don't believe UCONN or any other division 1 team is squeaky clean, Duke has so many minor violations swept under the rug, because they are Duke.
Ever see that 500 page book? I have, it's easy to violate anything without even trying to violate a rule.

One more thing, ND football is notorious for rules violations much greater than what UCONN is *accused* of.

Although no spotless, UCONN runs a pretty tight ship

Won't matter when they have to forfeit the wins...cheaters!

action?

anyone who thinks a man who was squeaky clean for 38 years fell off the deep end overnight is a tad bit delusional. A man that made his own players confess to the NCAA that they accepted plane tickets to fly home which led to them being suspended for the year is all of a sudden going to allow a booster to shower a player with illegal gifts. Since the eligibility of any players is not in question, there will be no forfeitures. The violations, if any, will not be found to be anywhere near the level the sensationalizing media makes them out to be.

On the downside, UConn is looking at something Kansas was penalized a few years ago. Maybe, maybe one less scholarship and reduced campus visits. Something that won't hurt the program at all.

If somebody wants action on game forfeitures nonsense, let me know how much money you want to donate to UConn, Thank you.
