I’m sure it crossed his mind dozens of times. When you think about it, what does he have to lose?
Lets say he signs an EO saying he can run for a 3rd term. But that’s unconstitutional the GOP would cry. So what? Obama would site precedence, FDR served 3 terms.
What are they going to do impeach him? They don’t have the votes. File suit in court? There is an activist judge out their somewhere that overturn on appeal if he lost. By the time the Supreme Court took it up he’d be in his 2nd year in office and there’s no telling how they would rule anyway.
