I laugh at all of this "issues" stuff and how McCain can't run on them.

Issues are GOP's trump card in every election. It's why they've won 8 of 11 despite some shaky, less than perfect candidates.. The ones they lost are when the Dem candidate campaigned to the center/right on the issues.

Energy(Drilling), Strong Military, Capitalism/Free Markets/Low Taxes/End Welfare State, Education/School Choice,

These are all issues a majority of American people side with GOP.. McCain is saving his trump cards while Obama campaign continues to shoot themselves in the head with nonsense like his computer ad.

Why do you think McCain is challenging Barack Obama to Town hall debates? Why do you think Obama continues to turn them down? Because he would get absolutely cooked in an environment like that! He wants the debates to be Q and A forums with the questions being asked by his media pals.

Take that teleprompter away and Obama is a sad sort.

I'd love to see an ad mocking Obama for his stereotypes.

Excellent point. Even with the liberal media trying to brainwash everybody.

Then why is McCain's campaign manager out there telling people it's not about the issues, it's about personalities? Please. McCain wants the election to be about the bios. Obama wants it about fixing the economy. YOu can think Obama has the wrong plan, but if it's a referendum on who will be better to fix the economy, Obama wins in a landslide. McCain knows this.

The wingnuts are in a frenzy over Obama's ad mocking McCain's lack of technical intellect. They are all coming to his defense saying he can't use a keyboard because of injuries he received as a POW. That is an interesting argument, but if he can't use a full sized computer keyboard, then how can he use a cellphone or blackberry? Well there's pictures of him using those devices on the Huffiington Post.

I also find it really interesting that Glenn Reynolds, the tech man of the wingnut blogosphere, also is playing so deep into this. Shouldn't someone who is so into the tech world realize there are plenty of alternate input devices made for people that have disabilities such as this? There are special mice, keyboards and even voice recognition.

Of course there is one other key piece that really punctures a hole in the new outrage by the wingnuts. That hole is McCain himself. He admitted in July of this year that he is now trying to learn to use a computer. Now why would McCain admit to that when he could simply claim POW instead? It sounds like even McCain doesn't believe what is coming out of the wingnuts now.

Republicans Pull Ahead of Democrats on National Security and War in Iraq

Monday, September 08, 2008
However, the Democrats still have a slight advantage on the most important issue to voters: the economy. The struggling economy, which is considered very important to 79% of Likely Voters, has consistently been the top issue of election 2008. This month, the Democratic Party is trusted more by a 46% to 43% margin to handle the issue. Though the Democrats still hold the advantage, their lead has slipped from twelve points in the last survey.

And not by party. Find me polls (and not convention bounce polls) that show Obama vs. McCain on the economy.

Quit spinning.
