Of course it should be a birthright. In every nation it basically is. Our healthcare is ranked 37th in the world, ranked well below nationalized health care countries. Yet some dumb as dirt people will still insist the health care will be worse if nationalized. Ignorance by sheltered Americans is all it is. That ignorance is the main reason why the world has us as the laughing stock and the butt of all jokes.

Freedom from Socialism should be a Birth right!

...and while we're at it Birth should be a Birthright!

That's the best thing about you hypocrites, you care more about the unborn babies then you do the living ones.

It's not the mothers right to choose, they have no say in the matter when the baby is inside them. You people who claim to want less government sure as hell want more government to ban abortion. But then once that same baby is born, now it's the mothers responsibility to give that baby health care without public service, food without public service and everything else. The government should step in until it benefits the mother and child, then you want less government. Backwards thinking caused by the hypocritical church.

for a person citing totally worthless stats and for person who obviously doesn't even know what the debate is really about, you sure do throw around a lot a name calling

I'm impressed :)<<

Worthless stats? What makes that stat worthless? And how don't I know what the debate is about? It's about nationalized health care, and one of the biggest fears I hear is that the quality of care will go down. So I brought up a fact that we're ranked 37th in the world already. Well below many countries that have socialized health care. So please tell me how I don't know what I'm talking about.

how do they arrive at ranking the countries? every such study I've seen is based on an awful lot of subjectivity. Our country provides health care on demand, we provide care to terminally ill and very old, we have the most obesity, the most drug use and 20 million illegal aliens to boot. No system in the world can even carry that load, never mind put a quality product on the table under such circumstances.

The debate is about how to best improve our system. Since 80%+ of Americans are happy with their health care, I believe we need to address filling in the holes, not throwing the baby out with the bath water and thinking a few elected politicians in DC can actually author health care utopia.

Everything they put on the table to date increases costs and increases the deficit, despite the fact that they propose limiting end of life treatment. What kind of horseshit is that?

Politicians making health care decisions, long waits, restrictions on treatment, increased costs, increased deficits.................... and they don't even want to talk about it.

80% of people are happy with the health care? Where did you get that number? I know that isn't an actual number backed by any sort of fact. The world health organization did that study and gave that ranking and they're a US based organization! If you don't like the results of a study all you have to do is say the study is unreliable. I could see if they had an agenda, if you know of an agenda which would make them give a false ranking let me know. Other then that, the ranking is legit and done by a respected organization.

CBS /NYT 6/20/09

can't cut and paste

77% satisfied with their own care, an amazing stat totally ignored by the enablers

http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/CBSPOLL_June09a_health_care.pdf?tag=contentMain;contentBody

found on page 5 of 16

since this fact doesn't fit their agenda, CBS and the NYT pretty much ignored it or down played it when presenting the results of their current poll.

every poll that asks the question "are you happy with your own health care" yields the same results

Americans like their own health care and they do so by overwhelming margins.

However, they've also been told that their neighbors are all suffering and our system sucks, so they've been molded by politicians like Obama and his enablers in the media to support major reform.

I missed the "their" part. So they took the few people who have health care and asked if they were happy with it? Totally misleading numbers. Ask the American people, with AND without coverage, if they are happy with the American health care system.

the two most recent polls are not about health insurance, they're about health care

the poll from 2006 was about health insurance

The health care system are both, it's everything combined. I would venture to say that the world health organization ranking is done by both.

Only took one month to lose all your credibility. Another liberal that feels any poll taken that contradicts his/her own beliefs is somehow flawed or part of some rightwing conspiracy.
