Very conspiratorial. The guy was a big proponent of a zero racism policy in the NBA and spoke out against Sterling, saying the NBA should penalize him to the fullest extent. It would have been incredibly hypocritical of him to not sell the team if this email was going to be released. It's a really badly worded email that he would not be able to get out of. He did the only smart thing he could do. Just dissolved the situation before allowing it to get out of control and the public crazies to take over.

This isn't even close to as bad as what Sterling said in my opinion. He's essentially saying we need ideas to get more white people from the suburbs to broaden our season ticket base and improve our bottom line. He's making comments on demographics in an effort to improve his business. He definitely made some poor choices in how he phrased some of his points but I don't think it's even close to Sterling. I mean the guy even calls out the racist southern whites for being scared of African Americans.

What he said was right. You need a good mixture of fans and the North ATL suburbs are very nice. The main issue is the Hawks franchise sucks and always has. I have been to a lot of Hawks games and it sucks when the only reason a lot of people comes is to see the all stars on the other team. NBA just isn't big in ATL except for the black community. Now all that being said, the Falcon games have a lot of black folk that attend and I never have once had a bad experience with any of them. Actually they are great fans. It's just a different crowd that the Hawks draw, and people of ATL could care less about the NBA. Like you said, he could have worded it differently, but it's almost a hopeless cause for the Hawks.

^^^The worst place to catch a game in my opinion is Turner Field. The stadium is in a bad part of town, and fans get heckled nonstop by the local guys wanting to sell something. The Braves are moving into a more white community, so we will see if that changes anything. Football is king in the peach state, so that has a lot to do with interest of the local fans. Want to see a crowd, go to Athens on a Saturday in the fall. A great atmosphere.
