Hawkeye's going bowling, but where?

Irish fans and all independents have the best deal with no bowl tie in's; like your idea a lot, Fair Warning. Not likely to happen though because it makes sense and the conference commissioners love the guarantees of conference tie in's to specific bowl games. How excited can Hawkeye fans really be about the prospect of going to the Alamo bowl for probably the 4th or 5th time in the last 15 yrs? The minor bowls need to spice it up with new teams from different conferences.

Only attended one Alamo Bowl...........but it was fantastic.

Really enjoyed the Riverwalk..........the beer, food, and gathering of fans in such a small area was terriffic.

If Iowa plays Nebraska there, will probably be attending there once again.............will be a great two days of party action leading up to the game, expecially if TT can scape up enough bucks to make his way to the Lone Star state.

Until you experienced the one or two days of partying and friendships formed leading up to your favorite teams bowl game while on vacation and then experiencing the game itself, you don't know what your missing.

I think the pecking order will be:

1 - Penn State (11-1) BCS
2 - Ohio State (10-2) BCS

3 - Michigan State (9-3) CAPITAL ONE
4 - Iowa (8-4) OUTBACK
5 - Wisconsin (7-5) ALAMO
-------------------
6 - Northwestern (7-5) CHAMPS SPORTS
7 - Minnesota (7-5) INSIGHT

8 - Illinois (6-6) MOTOR CITY
