I will be in attendance for tomorrow's game vs. Fresno. This is a small reason why my bet is gonna be bigger than normal. I have my main reason as to why Hawaii covers tomorrow. First are the intangibles. Gib Arnold is a master at motivating his players to perform better after a sub par game...and we all know that the Hawaii players played sluggish vs. Nevada to say the least. I've heard Gib on all the radio shows and he didn't hide the fact that he was pissed. I don't see Hawaii coming out and playing lethargic for this one. Second, its not likely that Zane Johnson is going to have another horrible game. If he hits his threes this game is going to be a blowout because that opens up the inside for Vander and Thomas. Third, I think Hans Bereton is starting to step it up a bit. He had something like 17 points vs. Nevada. He hit some 3s and took it strong inside. Fourth, Miah O. is such a awesome point guard. The Nevada players were leaving him wide open because they didn't think he could knock down outside shots. Well, he proved them wrong by hitting 4. He was hands down the best player in Hawaii in high school and by far the leading scorer (I know that's not saying much, but he can shoot the ball if left open). Lastly (and this may not matter much), Trevor Wiseman is back after pouting and not wanting to go back in a game after called upon. His stats may not show up on paper, but he's valuable in hustle points. He just seems to be at the right place at the right time.

Anyway, my $$ is on Hawaii -5.5. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to put in majority of my bet because I usually bet through two houses and the house that offers -105 juice doesn't post his lines until tomorrow. I do think this line climbs up to 6 or even 6.5 so I'm putting in something tonight with the other house even if I have to pay -110. So here it is boys...

Hawaii -5.5.....$550 to win $500

Will be putting in another $1500 tomorrow with the house that offers -105. Hope the line doesn't climb too high.

Let me know what you guys think...Good luck with all the wagers this weekend. No football...sniff, sniff.

Awww Damn, I was following this dude whose name is "SPEED" (not sure if he is on SPEED though) on FRESNO Moneyline. This is the guy who played Vandy moneyline over Kentucky and said he'd leave the forum if it doesn't hit. Hahahaha....

Hawaii up 4 at the half and Zane Johnson is scoreless. Can't decide if this is a good thing or bad thing...but if he can find his stroke in the second, Hawaii should have no problems at all pulling away. Come on, Rainbows...bring it home.

Oh wow, poor FT shooting by Hawaii and a complete shut-out of Zane Johnson lost this one in the final 30 seconds of the game, tough beat.

A lot of money goes into these Hawaii games.

Last chance chasers.

That game was shady.

That's garbage. I didn't see it, but the espn radio guys made it sound like Zane Johnson just intentionally threw the ball to Fresno St with a few seconds to go when he would have been fouled and sent to the line...and he shoots in the high 80s from the stripe.

Sounds like a pretty fishy ending to this game. I'm usually the last person to believe in grand conspiracies or huge "inside jobs" take place, but this one really makes me wonder about whether a fix was in.

Hawaii can never be trusted at the end of games!!! To me the 1st half was the stronger call although they nearly blew that too. They remind me a lot of teams like kansas st who can be easily backdoored when holding a 2nd hf lead because of poor ft shooting!!! Fresno has been a road warrior in regards to keeping games within the spread but always coming up short in the straight up win column. Very frustrating game as hawaii had many opportunites to blow it wide open but too many turnovers, too many missed freethrows!!!! Zane Johnson now has 2 straight crappy games. Vander was a beast down low but they stopped feeding him late in the game!------WHY????? Yes I'll agree very fishy indeed. When you're the home team and you go 10-18 from the line while fresno goes 11-13 from the line then you're f@cked!!!!

Really not worth talking about. Last 6 minutes and 48 seconds, Hawaii scored 1 basket and turned the ball over 5 times. They fixed the game.

I agree...lots of fishy shit went down in that game. I was in attendance and Hawaii had Bobby Miles, a seldom used point guard in the game until the final buzzer. He turned the ball over and committed a foul in those last minutes. And who was on the bench for a lot of the 2nd half? Josten Thomas. Why would you leave your leading scorer (in WAC games) on the bench during this crucial time. Granted Gib Arnold put him back in with like 5 minutes left, but still he sat more than usual. Then to top it all off, Zane Johnson is holding the ball with 10 seconds left and heaves the ball when he could've gotten fouled and hit two free throws to cover. I don't know...maybe its just sour grapes on my part. Gotta make this back next game.
