Washington lost 14-33 to Ohio st, 34-55 to Oregon, and ok they did play USC tought lost that one 24-27. So if we follow your logic above then I guess Stanford would be considered legendary? I mean they actually beat USC and also beat a Cal team that at one time was ranked #2.
I don't dislike Hawaii, they're a nice team. Just not that good, and if they ever played anyone in the regular season they'd be exposed as a fraud just like Missouri was.

No Corky, I don't have to ask who they played because I already know. Do you? Do you realize just how bad of a schedule they played? They managed to come up with a schedule that Kansas could laugh at. Ever heard of Jeff Sagarin? Well, his formula is used in the BCS calculations and any idea where Hawaii's strength of schedule ranked? 137th. Now Corky there are only 119 teams in Division 1A so that means 18 Division 1AA teams played a tougher schedule than Hawaii did. Thats an amazing accomplishment. And take a look at who Hawaii played out of conference when they wanted a break from that rugged WAC schedule. They managed to fit in Northern Colorado and Charleston Southern, both Div 1AA schools. Any idea what kind of record Norther Colorado had? They went 1-11 playing mostly Div-1AA teams. Hawaii's opponents had a combined record of 53-92, which is a winning percentate of .3655, so of course they went undefeated and led the nation in scoring. How could they not?
