2006 I worked at Washington mutual. Had some dumb contests. One contest was guess how many m&ms in the jar. Nailed it.
I won a $5 raffle in the marines. Some Staff Sgt was raising money for his sick wife or something. Bought 1 ticket and won a 9mm. I was under 21 though so the guy said I couldn't get the 9mm. I had to pick out something of equal value in a rifle catalog. I chose 2 SKS rifles.

Have won tons of stuff.
When I was younger (late jr high or so) we were one of only a small number of people who
had a one button redial on our phone. I cleaned up with radio call in contests
for 2 years. i would listen to 3 stations at a time and had no other life.
No BS I won over 50 different times over the years.
Nothing major but had more albums, movie tickets and free pizza than I could
handle for a while.
One interesting win was an arena football game in Mississippi a number of years ago.
10 maybe, whenever that AFL2 was in operation. There was a very small crowd at
a game and I was able to move to a front row seat pretty easily and there still werent
that many people in the section.
Ended up winning 2 frisbees, a hat and a tshirt as they were throwing prizes and stuff
all throughout the game. I ended up throwing the 2 frisbees and the hat into another section
so someone else could "win"

won a dish network contest in 2009 all-expenses paid to Champions League final in Roma. Ended up being my team, Manchester United, against Messi's Barcelona ... great time. was 3 nights in Rome and 1 night in Dublin. Got to have dinner with a couple famous (not in USA) announcers who were doing the game, VIP party before match, etc. ... put us up in excelsior hotel which is a phenomenal place
