What's up with this Gulf War Syndrome that you are soooo big on.....What are you??? A disgruntled Marine with Gulf War Syndrome?????

The Gulf War Syndrome has nothing to do with Today's war and if people are so afraid of it than don't join the Military, choose another profession.

I am "diametrically opposed" to everything US because I am against the WAR?
How many people did you morally repatriate during Vietam?

Keeping it fair isn't in your character to do, considering your sight is entirely monochromatic regarding this debate: anyone who disagrees with you should be deported?
That is ignorance. But call it what you want...
Ask yourself, who really is the un-american one here....

First off I read an incredible amount of books, articles, journals on a daily basis and consider myself well-versed in world history.

The Gulf War Syndrome? Fact or Fiction? If it is a fact that is another reason we should obliterate Sadam even more.

Of course you can't blame the US for the first gulf war? Sadam reminds me a lot of Hitler.

Lady,
I will no longer bother you anymore. you make as much sense as bringing a tennis racket to a battefield.
My point is this: They are still using the same depleted uranium shells that are said to CAUSE gulf war syndrome. Learn from history. LEARN!

Here's what I don't get...you guys call anyone who disagrees with this war as unworthy of being american. Case in point:
"I am getting tired of hearing you sissies whine (sic) about the US."
or this:
"You guys are a bunch of fuking hypocrites"
And the ever famous:
"Are you ready to renounce your US citizenship?"

Yet the moment a pro-dissent poster calls one of these opinions (or the poster) "ignorant" suddenly its "namecalling".

Be consistent for god's sake!!!

Like I said Radio......If they don't like it find another job. What are you all of a sudden????Bookie by Day??? and Nuclear Engineer by night???? How do you know what causes Gulf War Syndrome???? Because you read an article or a book??? Give me a Break.

I do learn, and I learn well. Maybe you should learn....learn about terrorism, torture, rape, and poverty before you crawl into your cozy bed at night or enjoy a nice dinner with glass of wine. Think about all the repressed people in the world that don't get to do that because of people like Saddam and the Taliban.

Mr. Sarcasm.

Start with the way Saddam "annexed" Kuwait.
Similar to how Hitler began "annexing" neighboring countries in 1939.

Add in the "evil" factor. Both practiced genocide on their own people.

Both were pathological liars.

I see plenty of similarity.

Now as your ignorance claim:

I don't call for the anti-war people to renounce their citizenship. Since you have been posting on this thread I haven't seen you say one "good" thing about the US. I have no problem with dissent but when someone ALWAYS thinks that this country is completely wrong, is always the bad guy it makes me wonder why that person would remain a citizen. This is not about disagreement over issues, this is someone who is so philosphically opposed to virtually everything. Someone such as yourself.

lady,l I'm sure that you've been there. You have seen this horrific things to be able to throw it in the face of those who haven't...

Do an internet search, there is more than simply one article on this matter. Depleted Uranium is strongly believed to be the cause of this illness.
Do I accuse those who support our troops as WANTING our troops to be exposed to this syndrome? If I were to draw an indirect logical line from one to the other, I would say that yes, your support of this genocide is nothing 'humanitarian'.

What are you all of a sudden????Bookie by Day??? and Nuclear Engineer by night????

Are you so sure of my background that you can ask this question? Do you know for a fact that I'm NOT?

Answer my previous post, then we'll talk...because from where I stand your inconsistency still bleeds through.

Parallels with Hitler.

Dictatorship.
Fascination with military advancement, way beyond most places. That supergun was something else.

And the biggest reason for me.
Invades his neighbours on a regular basis.
Most dictators are cowards, and dont become involved in high risk invasions of other countries.
Saddam is very unusual in this respect.

You get border skirmishes all over the world, the ya boo incidents, but this guy does the full scale invasion of another country stuff, and hes done it twice.

Even Stalin kept his excesses within the USSR, and took advantage of circumstances in WW2 to land grab half of europe in the aftermath.

Add in the "evil" factor.

Thanks, Dr. Evil.

They are nothing alike. Hitler had forces equalling if not greater in supply and training than the US. And the US had real ALLIES in WWII.
Furthermore, this is not the first gulf war. Saddam has not invaded another country to justify this war. There was no proof that he even had the INTENTION to invade another country.
Bush is a pathological liar. Or, he is misinformed. He is backed by a military complex that squashes dissidents via ruination of their credibility (soft authoritarianism), he has authorized the indefinite holding of suspected terrorists in "concentration camps" in places like Guantanamo.

Who is similar to Hitler?

kennyb. you said this: " don't call for the anti-war people to renounce their citizenship."

But earlier said this:
"Are you ready to renounce your US citizenship?"

So, which is it?

"This is not about disagreement over issues, this is someone who is so philosphically opposed to virtually everything. Someone such as yourself."

You're right. Because you know me so well?

As per your last post I believe it was directed at someone else as I did not say "Saddam reminds me a lot of Hitler. As for my inconsistency.....I don't see any.

As for being human and caring about freedom and life.....you don't have to be there to feel the pain, just look in their eyes. But someone like you......I wouldn't except you to able to do that, just from the way you feel about your country and fellow citizens.

The civilian casualties is a tragedy, but try to analyze it in this way. The USA has dropped thousands of bombs over Iraq. If one civilian would die from each bomb then that would be an extreme and very regretfull tragedy and loss, but you see very few people hurt and dead compared to the great amounts of bombs that have been dropped. 50 or 60 deaths and injuries compared to thousands is a pretty good ratio.

Now, look at Saddam, what about the Kuwaitees that he has killed, the Kurds that he has gassed, and who knows how many of his own people he has murdered?

absolutely fact but little to do with Sadam. something similar has occurred after all wars dating back to the Civil War but the VA does nothing to help.

Its Saddam the MAN I refer to.

Hes done it with Iran and Kuwait.

This guy has whatever it takes, to launch a full scale invasion of a neighbour, and that is extremely risky and highly unusual.

others like this include Hitler as a prime example.

People like Stalin and Mao never pulled off the same sort of stuff. They concentrated on internal affairs (to put it politely).

It is often said that once you resort to ad hominem you have lost the argument. I consider this maxim very apropos in this case.

But you cannot say that you wish to preserve liberty and freedom while invading every country that satisfies these criteria.
