So which cigars are available for $250. I have smoked a few Cohibas and Montecristo's while down here. (I hope they weren't fake but I wouldn't know as I am no aficionado) I wouldn't mind picking up a box though from you.

Any Market cigar. Most Cohibas, Montes, Partagas, Romeo, etc... The only thing I'd have to charge more for are things like Limited Editions and Specialty cigars that cost me more to procure in Havana.

I'm trying to generate volume and increase my presence in Havana right now, while building a loyal word of mouth clientle here in San Jose (and abroad).

I'm also hard pressed to find guys to have a smoke with here, so this serves that purpose as well...

can you get me some fucking Newports?

hahaha, those little things we miss from home... With me it's Pace picante sauce, Lever 2000, and Aquafresh ultra clean...

I think you're best asking a buddy coming down from the states for that.

i picked up some supposedly cuban Punch's from the smoke shop up the street from the casino along the brick paved market area in san jose...they were the best cigars ive ever smoked. beats me if they were legit but as a regular cigar smoker they were very good. i figured id try the punch's since the cohibas are the most common counterfeit...i know some of the in's and out's for cohibas and they were ALOT of fakes in san jose.

Like I said, these days the only way to know for sure is to go get them...

There are a ton of knock-offs here, but I would say it's kinda' nice to be able to get a box of Cohiba, a Rolex, and a pair of Ray Bans for $60... :):)

Before you asked about them, I'd never heard of them. Please understand that I started smoking cigars when I lived in Cuba, and haven't migrated outside of the occasional gift cigar. My reference point outside of Cuban cigars is pretty limited.

Forgive me, I also made the mistake of assuming we all live in CR. If you really want them, I'll work something out to ship them to you...

Many of the cubans in cuba are fake.

Do yourself a favor and try the Don Benignos. Best product in the world, best price.

A friend gave me a couple. They smoked a little hot for my taste.

Hey Mike,

The Siglo VI's are as great as you said. Funny thing is that even the wife smoked one with me. So I may be going through the box a lot faster than I thought.

You guys should give him a try if you are in the market for cigars. He definitely knows what he is talking about.

Thanks Buddy,

It's hard to find someone who doesn't like that cigar. I couldn't get that many on this trip. But I got a mix of a few other things I'll mention on a separate post.

Thanks again. Every box you guys buy gets me closer to another trip to the island...

What Don Benigno did you smoke that was hot? I must have smoked around 100 boxes and never had any burn hot. Do you smoke like a race horse?

Nothing beats being able to see the cigars being made. At least you know exactly what you are getting.

SVT, I do smoke faster than most. My friend gave me a few, one of them reminded me of a Monte Edmundo, but otherwise smoked to hot and became bitter. Mostly due to the loose roll. Which many guys like, but not to my taste.

All of the smokes I bring over are bought at the Partagas Factory in Habana Vieja. While there are issues with the new generation of Cuban speed rollers, they still smoke better than anything on earth. If they didn't, my website would be called Nicaraguan Connections...
