I honestly don't really believe in bad beats. Weird things happen all the time in games that are right around the number. Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win, and many wagers just come down to the way the ball bounces in the last minutes. I believe that some games have a clear right side and many end up losing, and that's gambling. I've lost many wagers in my life that I almost knew I was gonna win. But this MSU game was the most surprised I've ever been. Just an ass kicking.
But......all you can do is bet your opinions and try to put yourself on the right side, and then live with the results. I love gambling.
If you think Nebraska was the right side to be on.............good luck the rest of the season because you're gonna need it.I can't understand why people think that if a team dominates another team for 3 quarters that they deserve to cover. Maybe their defense gets worn down in the 4th. Maybe the team that is being dominated finds a way around the domination.
Nebraska was able to adjust their offense by getting the ball to Westerkamp late in the game. That wasn't a fluke. That was bad play by MSU as Nebraska had no problem finding him open all during the second half.
Pierson-El is a top-notch returner. It wasn't a fluke when he ran back the punt in the 4th quarter.
Sure mistakes were made but that doesn't mean Nebraska shouldn't have covered.

People who say they had the "right side" after losing, are just comforting themselves as they are consistent losers.
The only "right side" is the winning side.
Good luck, you obviously need it.
This may seriously be the worst right side loss/against all odds loser , I can remember. From the UC vs Duke bowl game on Dec 27,2012. Duke was getting around 10 pts and hung with Cinn all day. With a tie score they get down to the Cinn 5 yard line, with only 1:32 seconds left in the game. You are getting 10 points, no way to lose this one right? Duke at 5:17 | UC | DUKE |
