So here in Northern California there have been an influx of people leaving to move to Idaho in the past 2-3 years.
Can anyone out there confirm?

lot of people looking for a quieter, cheaper more remote way of life. Real Estate people I have talked to told me the demand for smaller city, town, cottage country ...etc.... sales have been real strong in recent months

It's an exodus from liberal values and the problems they create to conservative values and the peace and safety that they afford.

It's white people getting the hell out of California.

From your posts I've read, you should remain in California.

Looks not any colder than CT, I could definitely see leaving CA for somewhere cheaper to live, used to be Vegas, but Colardo another decent option, I liked living there, great people !

It was before the pandemic, I read that there was an influx into Idaho from older, right-leaning CA voters.

It'll be similar to the white flight from cities in the 70's and 80's after the rises in crime that came from the 60's unrest. Then whites will be to blame for "white flight", if they move to the city they're blamed for gentrification. Just can't win.

I loved the weather when I was in San Diego from 1982-1987 !
I couldn't afford to live there now anyway !
Real estate is way higher now

Technically there is a warrant there for my arrest, it's just a misdeamor and goes back to 1987, likely written off by now

I'm more like the Carolinas or Texas, something a bit warmer than CT, but I don't like hurricanes

Maybe Tennessee ?

Except they will bring their liberalism with them and eventually ruin Idaho like they have ruined California.

They have a weather girl named Bri Eggers who is a complete ditz. Spends every waking minute that she can on social media whining about her post partum syndrome or her cat. We drove her out of Boston for acting like she knew more about the weather than the locals. Failed actress wannabee who ran back to her daddy's failing peppermint farm there to hide.

Idaho is 93% white. Makes sense. The push to diversify mostly white states has started. It is gonna get pushed much harder with the next lefty president. Obama pushed this hard.
