Well, we are talking about big tournaments.

I'll take lesser software and a smaller field over the avatar deal with 3500 people

..........and I keep telling ya'all to try DoylesRoom.

Doyles software blows away the competition in my humble opinion.

I think it is SUPER!

What does doyles have for 6 figure gaurantee tournaments?

Not many, think they had a $100,000 last month.

Currently, their highest is $50,000.

bit OT...but whats the best tourneys to start off in at PP...

I felt the best way was to jump right into the 200 no limit ten man tourneys and swim with the sharks. Quickest way to learn by far. 50 on up would probably do the trick well enough though.

At the BoDog conference in Vegas a couple of weeks ago, they had a big panel discussion talking about on line Poker. One of the themes of the conference was the relationship between poker players and sports bettors.

I was of the opinion that the average sports player bets much more per week on sports than the average poker player does on poker.

In response to that question, the panel said that high limit players are common at the major poker sites, and that there have been tables where $500,000 was in play.

Has anyone actually seen or taken part in games or tourneys where this much money was involved?

UB's big no limit game often has six figures out there, maybe not $500k though.

I won $8000 for second in a tournament that I got into with two satellite wins. I won the $6 buy in satellite, then the seat in the second round, $50 buy-in. 8000 for 6, I marvelled more at the odds of it than the luck I had in getting to second.

You guys might think that 3500 players is a bad thing. You have to realize that is pays out 10% of the field just like every tournament. So either way you look at it, 1 out of 10 people get paid. It might take longer, but well worth the pay out.

Won a WSOP package through party, 620 people in top 13 qualified. Peteep also won a package. With small kids at home its hard to set aside half a day(potentially) to play many tournies.
