I sold a lot of basketball tickets on there very fast.. one thing with smaller items is don't tell anyone it is sold until you have cash in hand.. Lots of no shows who "guaranteed" they would come by..

Only dealings I've had on Craigslist were for tickets to sporting events and never once had a problem...

Sold a bunch of stuff on Craigslist, never had a problem. the only issue I ever had was putting some lawn furniture on there for free. I must have gotten 50 responses for 2 shitty pieces of furniture, I will never post anything on there again where they have to come to your house to get it.

I used craig's list today to find free firewood. I've already taken home 3 pickup truck loads, *and* the guy who owns the property has
hired my 16 year old son for the day at $10/hr.

Use it often (more in the past than now).

Common sense prevails - Cash or bank wires (Bank checks or money orders if small amounts). Meet somewhere public like a starbucks or 7/11 or whatever. Unlikely someone is going to pull a gun on you in the local McDonalds.

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -An alleged Craigslist scammer is behind bars Wednesday evening, Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil reports.
Michael D. Stetson, 29, of Loveland, is accused of posting numerous Craigslist ads to lure victims to his address, according to Sheriff Jim Neil.
Sheriff Neil said Stetson would receive payment for the listed items, inform the victims he needed to retrieve the merchandise and never return.
Stetson was arrested without incident Wednesday at a local motel on five outstanding theft warrants.
Any that may be a victim to this scam or has any other information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Section at (513) 851-6000.

I've sold a few things..typically bigger items I dont want to move or can't ship. Lotta tire kickers and pains in the ass.

John David Cain, 26, and Deanna Lynn Greer, 37, from Tennessee attempted to sell their five month old infant.KRDO's affiliate WATE in Knoxville reported Saturday, citing the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.
The two were caught by state agents during a sting operation when they exchanged the baby for cash.
Cain and Greer were arrested immediately and taken into custody at the Greene County Jail in Greeneville, according to the report.
Both are held on a $150,000 bond, and are scheduled to appear in court during the first week of April.
The baby is in state custody.
