So what? Is Tejada a starter? Sure he would be happy to be even close to the career Utley has had.

You`re reply makes no sense.....What else is new!!!!

It`s hard to hit a guy when he doesn`t play...Utley is not a starter dip shit.

STFU.....You`re reply to me was senseless.

"He has to play to get hit"

that makes no sense. He could get a start and he will be used as a pinch hitter....so they will have a chance to plunk him if they want. People that don't start do play ya know?

Seems like a good idea to start him.

I do't think Utley intended to hurt Tejada but that was an illegal slide. Started the slide after 2nd base with no intent on even touching the base.

He should be fined and suspended and the terrible umpiring and booth review crew should not get any more games this postseason. Too much love and deference given to a veteran player on a play that was clearly illegal. The fact that they called him safe when he never even touched 2nd base is unbelievable.

This is from a person who is not a fan of either team and who has a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for Chase Utley.

They could just as easily plunk AGon. That who I would go after.

They could hit anyone....starting him rubs it in....its what mutts do

Pitcher will be gone the minute they hit anyone

So riddle me this...

If he had not been injured would it be a story or a suspension?????

How does this stop a possible problem??

Because he caused a major problem with that slide......You don`t need the guy coming to bat as a potential pitch hitter in Citi Field......You don`t need a brawl with the players or the fans throwing shit at the guy......Avoid the problems all together by suspending him for 2 games......Great move by Torre.

If they are looking for retribution is makes no matter if he starts or not....they wouldnt likely target him anyway....would be someone more valuable.

Suspending him matters how much? He's not even a starter?

The problem is...... The lack of a proper call probably gave LA the game and maybe the series.

Yep. Suspending him shows it should have been ruled Interference and a DP called. I didn't really care much before, but now I'm rooting hard for the Mets to win this series.
