Heres some more...nice thoughts punter...just let the loons do your thinking for you. Maybe Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon have a nice fundraiser for children in ANOTHER country you can attend and hear their BS to formulate your opinions.

Politics

Main article: Politics of Angola

See also: List of political parties in Angola

Angola's motto is Virtus Unita Fortior, a Latin phrase meaning "Virtue is stronger when united." The executive branch of the government is composed of the President, the Prime Minister (currently Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos) and Council of Ministers. Currently, political power is concentrated in the Presidency. The Council of Ministers, composed of all government ministers and vice ministers, meets regularly to discuss policy issues. Governors of the 18 provinces are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the president. The Constitutional Law of 1992 establishes the broad outlines of government structure and delineates the rights and duties of citizens. The legal system is based on Portuguese and customary law but is weak and fragmented, and courts operate in only twelve of more than 140 municipalities. A Supreme Court serves as the appellate tribunal; a Constitutional Court with powers of judicial review has never been constituted despite statutory authorization.
Parliamentary elections held on September, 5th, 2008, announced MPLA as the winning party with 81% of votes. The closest opposition party was UNITA with 10%. These elections were the first since 1992.

Speaking to reporters at the airport, he said the Angolan peace process was "going through its gravest crisis since it was signed."
He said the decision earlier this week by the opposition Unita movement to sever ties with the three nations appointed to observe the peace process - Russia, Portugal and the United States - was a cause for serious concern.

He is charged with putting the stalled Angolan peace process - initiated by an agreement between the government and Unita in 1994 - back on track.
Mr Diallo said he would meet early next week with both President Jose Eduardo dos Santos and rebel chief Jonas Savimbi.
A Unita spokesman promised firm support for him.

Reckon some folks (even your fellow red-blooded angry righties) just don't listen, eh?

Kudos to our fathers, sons, moms, and all who ever served honorably in the defense of this nation. Tough day for me yesterday, as I remember the words of my father (lifetime of service to this nation, and recipient of the Air Medal for heroism in WWII), whom I lost last year....

"I hate war, especially this one (Iraq)."

Gasbag, STFU.

Yes SIR cussin'it.

How do you feel about people saying your father died in vein had it happened during the war? That is my point cussin. Everyone in the military are heroes. My father (Nam), Grandfather (WW2) and Great (WW1) all served. Condolences on your loss.

Look, I don't care about your viewpoint but you are entitled to have it. Just asking you to respect Sir Willie's request.

And it's "in vain" bro.

I hafta say, it is pretty amazing what they do.........

They don't take days off. They work through crappy weather (outdoors), they can't tell thier boss "no". They get put into places that they don't want to be, and they are in countries that don't want them there.

Through it all, they follow thier bosses' orders.................Not like union employees........."talk to my rep, "I'm not doing that""..........

God Bless them all............too bad we lost so many of these kids.....
