Pubguy, thanks for posting those clips, I liked some of them.

Had no idea Brett wasnt too highly touted going into college.

You are welcome. I like the old ones where they tell you how to pronounce his name and call him a tough kid.

It's not irritating...it's true.

Favre will own every single record that is worth owning when he is done.

NFL toughness will be compared to the Favre legend for the next century.

Best ever..and it's not even arguable, all things considered.

:think2:

except for that little thing called CHAMPIONSHIPS

Brady 3 and counting

Farve 1 and done

Also the interception record.....Green Bay might have beaten the Pats last year if your beloved QB didn't hand the game to the Giants...

I doubt the Packers could have emulated the Immaculate Reception II

Favre's ironman record is right up there in all time sports accomplishments.

You have to consider the fact that he did it all...SuperBowl, many all time records...and the incredible Iron man record.

Counting just Championships is stupid...Dilfer has a ring...nuff said.
It's not Favre's fault he was stuck with morons for coaches for 2/3 of his career.

Favre is so overrated it's not even funny. For his career and especially for this season. He is not a top 10 QB, not a chance. He got the pro bowl because of his name, and it just shows that fans should not get a say at all (this goes for all sports, fans should have zero say on all star selections- and yes I'm sure his peers and coaches voted for him too because of his name). Matt Cassell and Chad Pennington BOTH deserved a pro bowl bid over Favre imo. Rivers, Manning, and Cutler should be the three going though and no one touches those three. I don't think Rivers is a good QB to be honest, but no way should he not be going, especially over someone like Favre who really hasn't played well this year.

He's a great guy though, I'll give him that.

MJ, I was responding to your comment that Farve is the greatest, "all things considered".

Farve had a great career, but one can make arguments for many other QB's as to who is the greatest of all time. Longevity is his best argument.

He makes too many bad decisions for my tastes. If I'm looking for a QB to lead my team, I'm looking for leadership, composure, talent, decision making, consistency and a winning tradition.

Montana & Brady top my list. But in reality, I don't think it's possible to win an argument about who is the best of the best, I think you can only argue for who is in the mix for such consideration.

As a team leader its hard to top Don Meredith. Landry sometimes questioned in what direction he was leading, but he gets my vote because of the best wisecracks.

They asked a famous coach, I can't remember who, "Who would you want as your QB if you had one drive to win the Super Bowl?" His answer...John Elway...He continued...But if I had one play, I'd take Montana. It mighta been Madden. Not sure.
