Calvillo throws a pick to finally and mercifully end this game for the Alouettes, who never got it going tonight...
Alouettes over 28.5 L (-1.5 units)
Alouettes over 14.5 1st half L (-1 unit)
Alouettes (-5) vs. Argos L (-3.21 units)
Montreal vs. Toronto over 27 2nd half W (+3.5 units)
So not a horrific night, though this is one of those games I feel like I made a completely horrible call on. 2nd half over seemed quite easy to me, and though truthfully I had it with plenty to spare thanks to a bullcrap Argo TD, it wasn't a pick that was necessarily very strong, let alone worth my biggest 2nd half play of the year.
But for those keeping score, that's 0-4-1 ATS for the Alouettes... and worse for them, only 2-3 outright... Toronto will be a definite under game against the Bombers in 3 days' time IMO.
Meanwhile for the Alouettes, the only real positive mark on their schedule thus far has been the come from behind victory against Edmonton... but even then, this team looked horrible for about 2/3 of that game. Heads are sure to roll in the Alouette locker room, and I've already tabbed the game two weeks from now between these same teams in Toronto as a big spot for an Alouette domination... but they've gotta show me something against the Rough Riders next week first. Calvillo has thrown 7 picks this year, tops in the league... so in this year of breaking records for Calvillo, being on pace for about 30 picks isn't something to be proud of. Again, it didn't seem like he played poorly tonight, rather getting no help around him. Next week's match with Saskatchewan should be a bit of a shoot out if the Riders are fully healthy, as the Alouette defense is simply brutal right now.
