WASHINGTON — A record surge in recent firearms production and transactions have swamped the federal government's automated registration system for select weapons, including machine guns.

In a notice earlier this month to the firearms industry, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said it was temporarily suspending parts of its computerized system to shore up capacity in part to process the required registration and transfer of National Firearms Act covered weapons, which also include silencers, short-barreled shotguns, short-barreled rifles and some explosive devices.

Between 2005 and 2013, firearms act-related applications "skyrocketed by more than 380%'' to nearly 200,000, according to the April 16 memo issued by ATF Deputy Assistant Director Marvin Richardson. The surge has contributed to a backlog of more than 70,000 applications.

It’s good to see that the citizens are finally waking up.

Yep, I wish she would of got them all. I think everyone who knows or can handle a firearm should have a double barreled shot gun, less chance of missing.

Sarah Palin To Eric Holder In Awesome #NRA Speech: ‘You Don’t Want To Go There Buddy’ (FULL SPEECH)

Posted on Apr 27, 2014 at 12:54 PM in Politics | 39 Comments
By Caleb Howe

Sarah Palin spoke to the NRA Members’ Meeting yesterday and, among many choice qoutes, had some words for Attorney General Eric Holder on gun control.

“Attorney General Eric Holder recently he revels this idea to have government have gun owners wear bracelets, special bracelets that would identify you as a gun owner. Well, hey Holder. You don’t want to go there buddy.” (around 2:10 in the video above)

Palin brings in common sense objections to liberal gun control nuts, such as how so many of them hide behind guns themselves. “Our children? They’re protected by a thin tin sign that reads ‘gun free zone.’ Yeah, like that’ll stop the bad guy. That is stupid on steroids.”Outstanding.

She also throws in some great bumper sticker favorites like “don’t waste a bullet on a warning shot” and “I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.”

“I do have to apologize for that, I am sorry. Not all intolerant anti-freedom leftist liberals are hypocrites,” Palin says before a well-timed pause. “I’m kidding, yes they are!”

She also laments how America under the left’s political correctness regime fails to put the “fear of God” into our enemies. “If I were in charge,” says Palin, “they would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.”

Per usual, Palin delivers a terrific speech that appeals directly to conservatives, blue collar workers, and middle America. Suck on it, Charlie Gibson.

This mother just wanted to protect her child.
Two intruders lurked as the mother called 911. The emergency line operator didn’t give her permission to shoot the intruders, but the mom didn’t need it.
When the door was burst open, the mom shot and killed one of the intruders. The other turned himself in.
This is a great reminder for those out there — if they are in your home, it’s justifiable to SHOOT and KILL them!
