Books can't make FSU that large of a favorite, they'd get overwhelmed with Louisville money from both sharps and joe's grabbing more than a FG with the home dog. In fact, making FSU any kind of favorite at all would be incredibly risky for them.

That said, Louisville will have played Charlotte and Syracuse, and people will also remember that Ole Miss's offense and tempo schooled FSU for a half, so I do expect the public to be all over Louisville.

FSU should be pretty vanilla and safe tomorrow, allowing lots of guys to rest coming off the short week and facing a depleted CSU roster. Don't think we'll be able to take away any kind of meaningful info from that game with respect to the upcoming spread.

You're right, they made them larger at -4. I was 1/2 point off.

I'm assuming the OP was talking about the Opening Number.

It was bet up to -4 by the public.

Vegas Insider has the opening number as Louisville -1, which is right in line with the Power Ratings adjusted for Home Field.

If you are talking about the closing line probably FSU -3. People will definitely grab some Louisville +4

Sharps have quickly hammered this down to -2 as I mentioned they would if FSU was larger than a FG favorite.

But keep in mind sharps simply bet numbers, not teams. If Louisville had opened as chalk, sharps would've hammered FSU. It works both ways. And, of course, sharps don't always win.

I hope FSU wins. Francois is a far more accurate passer than Jackson, but it'll be his first road game in tough conditions so that's an intangible. Francois did look extremely poised though when FSU went down a few scores against Ole Miss.

Jackson's scrambling will be a problem for FSU, just like it would be for most teams. Louisville's tempo will also cause FSU issues, just as Ole Miss's did. One thing I noticed was that Louisville's receivers dropped a lot of balls against Cuse. Another thing was just how incredibly small Cuse is on defense. Their front 7 is tiny and got manhandled. DBs were shrimps.

Louisville OL is pretty solid, but FSU is bigger in the trenches on both sides overall. FSU also has the better RB and kicker. However, FSU was extremely sloppy with penalties against Ole Miss. Jimbo did sort that out at halftime though, among other areas.

I think the only way FSU loses is if they get down by a couple/few scores as they did against Ole Miss in the 1H. The Cards' crowd would be frenzied at that point and that could cause some FSU sloppy play, freak turnovers, and other typical CFB madness.

I won't be making a play on this one until Live in-game wagering because I expect better numbers at some point.

Sharps making a fortune on this game as expected.

Again, there is simply NO WAY you can make FSU a favorite in this spot without getting absolutely crushed by sharp Louisville money.
