i agree with u somewhat...but the removing of credit from the nats, is the EXACT reason why i was bale to hammer with +180 yesterday.........even money today...and just about every day. U need to look at that lineup and take it seriously to understand that no team with a 7 game win streak with this personnel woulda been +100, or -102 today. The books are using your public perception of the Nats against u, and you are letting them by not paying attention. (not u in particular, just people who try to think the nats should lose every night)
No team goes 0-162.....these guys will be respectable and are better offensively than half the teams in league in the 2nd half of the year
The Nats are playing good ball, and although I still think they're a bad team, the difference between them and other teams is that they are playing hard every night. Teams like the D-Backs, O's etc., who are "supposed" to be good, look at their seasons as a failure and they mail it in. Nothing was expected of the Nats, so they're still trying to win every game they play. I have a lot of respect for them because of that.
I've never doubted them offensively. They have some hitters, no doubt about it. But their pitching is weak. I'm not at all surprised that they touched up Petit today, but when pitchers like Martin shut down the other team, it makes me think the other side didn't really show up. I'm not saying it's impossible that Martin could pitch a good game, but I highly doubt that if this was a meaningful game for the D-Backs it would have turned out this way. I could certainly be wrong about that, but they just strike me as a team that doesn't care anymore.
Again, I'm not taking anything away from the Nats. They got it done every game this series. They have a lot more heart than most of the teams in baseball.
