A lot of people tend to cling to history vs. what have you done lately. Lately, with best D lineman run stopper out, nothing. They have to blitz just to attempt to get pressure. They can be exposed on the ground, and through the air. Once the nontackling, out of position defense gives up their usual score they kick to Packers, which is now either forced to play catchup, or watch Green fumble again. How is that stud Ahman doing? 4 fumbles, 1 as in uno td. Pathetic. These Packers and the also lame Panthers, Pack's only win, are this years, Tampa and Oakland. Playoff teams falling hard. The result, some vets just going through the motions, not wrapping up, or giving it their all. And how much did the refs try to help the Pack at home? Nothing helped this uninspired bunch.
Maybe they are good against the spread. Nope, since mirage MNF against other dropoff loser, have no covers. Nice short week then off to Detroit, a place they consistently play poorly, even when winning the division. This line has yet to catch up to the teams real respective numbers. How many do or die games does this pack squad get? Real cheap chalk should pound another nail for this team of many deaths. It was a great run by Brett, one of my favorite QB's ever. But to see him run around and throw into coverage, it is tragic. So are 4 picks.
There are many things I know going into this game. Who is playing better. Which teams are ascending, descending. Where the line is, and possibly should be. It was Packer -1, before MNF debacle. But that was smoke as it was gone as fast as the Chargers +7. If you can lay less than 3, 1 1/2 proabaly best now, I would take a flier on Detroit outplaying the Pack, and winning again, ATS and outright. At least that is where my money will be. :heh:
