What am I missing here? Detroit only -1.5???? They go into Atlanta and physically dominate the Falcons while Green Bay hasn't played a decent game since Week 1 and have proven to be the worst defense in the league. (WR Donald Driver had more tackles last night than starting defenders KGB and Cletius Hunt to put it into perspective.) This line reeks of sucker play. Any thoughts?

Well, you have Artrose Pinner the RB for Det. If Roy Williams doesn't play, your starting WR's are Az-Akhim and Tai Streets. I see nothing but under in this game.

Boys..............I can assure you that the PACKERS win this game! I know Detroit is on a high ( and I am from Michigan by the way ) but the Lions are a "lucky" 3-1. They lost to the only "good" team they faced in Philly. I see this just like Atlanta was a "lucky" 4-0 before this past week. I could be wrong, but with all the Lions injuries, the Packers playing for their lives, and them being on the road away from Lambeau with the pressure off of them, I forsee a rather "easy" Packer victory! Remember, just my opinion...........replies welcome!

I like the Pack as well. As bad as their defense is, I still don't see the Lions beating them.

I don't think Detroit is as good as their record states and they will probably lose here. The only problem is that they are strong against the run. Thos backup O-Lineman are going to have their hands full with Shaun Rogers and Big Daddy Wilkinson. We all know that Brett Favre sucks in domes as well. Dre Bly may be back this week as well (he is a pro bowl cb for those who don't know). This game looks shady to me.... Run away!!!

have you guys not had enough abuse from the packers, either bet the Lions or lay the fvk off this game.

dont waste another penny on that group of bums

they have made sportsbooks a fortune this year.

i said it before, everyone has expected their last 4 games to be like week 1 against the panthers, but they have only killed our bankrolls

spare yourselves

I've said it before and I will say it again. The Pack will always get more points then they deserve. There are so many Packer Backers out there that they would take them even money against the Pats right now. There is good money to be made fading the Pack every week.

I Probably Won't Touch This Game But Some Interesting Things To Consider. Detroit's Secondary Is Really Beat Up Which Is Not A Good Thing Facing Favre. Second, Lions Are Beat Up On Offense. No Kevin Jones, No Charles Rogers, Possibly No Roy Williams. Lions Line Is Not Exactly Stellar As They Had Trouble With Blitz Vs Philly Which Is What Green Bay Is Going To Do Considering The Lack Of Weapons Available Or Even Healthy. Detroit Is Not Capable Of Winning A Shootout With Packers. So I Would Say To Tread Lightly Unless You Think Lions Defense Can Stop Favre And Company Which I Don't. Though Lions Play Packers Tough In Detroit, I Think The Smart Play Here Is To Take The Packers. Favre Has Too Much Pride And Considering What Happened Monday Night On National Tv And Lions Upset Of Overrated Falcons Team, The Smart Money Here Would Be On Packers Imo.

ANYONE who bets even Monopoly money on the Packers deserves to lose their bet. NO WAY i want GB until they show me they are worthy of being trusted. as awful as Favrenugen is in domes - and as "down" as GB has to be - the way i see it - you play the Lions - or no one!

Are you a closet Packer fan? Detroit has been beat up since week 1 when they beat the Bears (a feat the Packers failed to do)and they are still 3-1. Detroit doesn't play that weak ass cover 2 Indy plays which is the only game the Packers efficiently moved the ball. I don't care how much pride Favre has, that will only take you so far. His pride don't play defense.... I'm not betting this game, but there is no way on earth to justfy taking the Packers in this game, NO WAY!!!

chad,

No I am a Rams fan and simply gave an objective view on the game. I noticed that all you do is bash. Add something or tell your reasons why or keep your opinion of no value to yourself. lol

Some difference of opinions. I will stay off this one. But I think the Lions have the distinct advantage being at home, playing solid defense especially by the line, Bly is back, and it looks as if Williams is going to play. The Packers DB's can't cover their own shadow, confidence in Green is waning as he can't be trusted to hang on to the ball, the locker room is bashing the coaching staff, and Favre is pressing because he has to. (Did I mention the Packers are paying two punters so the coach can attempt to save face for drafting one in the third round?) This team is horrible and everything in my book points to the Lions winning this game so laying only 1.5 stinks. It's just one of those games where if the feeling and the line don't match up, go opposite your gut or leave it alone.

Small play on the Lions, at least they'll play with some heart. My spreadsheet has them at -3.66, bought it at -1.5 before it moved. They are more like a 2-2 team than a 3-1, but the Packers are every bit as a bad as a 1-4 team. I do like the under, having it hcapped at 41.78 vs a 44.5 line.
BTW, I have the Packers power rated as the 2nd worst team in the league, only ahead of the Bengals. However, my power ranking system is new, and still has the Cowboys 3rd best, lol, so I think it's a little suspect.

How could anyone bet on GB as bad as their defense

is? Tenn avg. 17 pts per game before they scored 48 on the fudgepackers monday night. GB gets shelled again in this game. They will be in the running for the 1st draft pick before this season is over.

Oh that's not a bash, it's a wtf are you talking about thread. yeah you gave an objective view all right. Throw some stats up or something. Sorry if I offended you but Brett Favre is not the Packers anymore. He can't play DT or OT. Monday Night every one was spouting this crap about how Ahman Green was going to run all over the Titans...... The Packers are a bad bad bad team, how someone can tout them at this point blows my mind. Good luck this season.

As i Packers fan im very displeased by the way they have been playing lately. People have to stop complaining and just drop it. Noone should even mention Favre because Packers did score 27 points while the defence gave up 48. Thats just pathetic. I only put cash on the Pack because thats my team, Packers are not easy money anymore. It slowly started in wildcard game at Lamboau against Atlanta when Vick just demolished them.

The whole team is demoralized and hopefully they will pull something out of thier asses against Detroit. But even on Turkey day Packers nearly lost to them so i would watch out.

Those 27 points were mostly put up against soft prevent defenses, sorry to add insult to injury. I just can't understand why anyone in America would lay down their hard earned money on this team (if you want to call it a team).

I haven't played the Packers once this season, but will do so Sunday. Sorry, the defense only gave up two TDs to the Giants before falling apart against Tennessee. The two horrendous games on defense came against Peyton Manning and Steve McNair--both a class or two up from Joey Harrington. Unless the defensive players are tanking to get rid of Sherman (don't discount this), I can't see where a back named Pinner and Tai Streets are anywhere close to Chris Brown and Derrick Mason, or the Edge and Harrison.

There will be no playoffs for the Packers this season, but you have to take the points against the Lions. If G.B. falls here, I will agree with you Chad.
BTW, the Packers' offensive coordinator had emergency angioplasty Wednesday and might miss the game Sunday, and Sherman disclosed that Ahman Green has a tender Achilles tendon.

Play Detroit and the over. The worst you'll come out with is a split. The Packers are just plain awful . Lousy coach who is going to be fired. Washed up QB who should retire. The worst tackling, gutless defense in the entire league. They're a complete embarassment to themselves and their fans.
