limits are so small is doesnt matter who opens them. At least when CRIS puts up a line they are not afraid to take a bet. Spiro aint taking 5k sides or 2k totals right now from anyone, where as when CRIS lines goes up they will

Posting openers like texas a/m -7.5 over new mexico, Illinois -3, & ND only -9, greek probably shouldnt be booking 5k opening bets.

Georgia +6, I hope that holds . . . .

I tend to agree, although becuase I don't think UGA is very good, I probably won't play it or will do something insignificant like $5 just to keep me somewhat interested in the game. lol

Jake...A couple of reasons could be the Aggies coming off a 4-8 season. And they couldn't cover either of their double digit spreads last season. Plus giving up over 40 ppg on defense is also probably a strong guideline or formula for not making it a big line.. The Aggies aren't the safest of bets. But I do agree with you that they should cover this line.

a/m is -13.5 at 5dimes

Yeah, 5DIMES has lines up on sides and TOTALS as well. You can do some shopping around too as there are some line disparities between sites. That is if you are interested in laying your bets now. I'm not, but it's good to finally be working with some numbers.

BS...I don't think I'm going to be laying anything down right now either. As tends to happen every year with me, some of these lines look good now, but after 3 weeks of summer practices things have a tendency to change. And I want to spend a few days trying to figure out what the books were thinking with some of these lines. They aren't as stupid as everyone thinks. Plus I'm not getting as good a number on about half of these games than I expected. And I'm hoping that they'll come back to me a little.

Seems like all the value is in the dogs. I got 26 leans and 21 of them are on dogs (only 1 O/U and 5 favorites).

I'm going to be patient and if I don't see the number I want, I'm not going to play the game, it's just that simple. If I only get 5 games to bet, that will be OK. I'm betting I will find more than 5 games to bet though, I almost always do . . . .

I usually play a lot of favorites in the opening week as they usually do really well. I know there are some favorites I will be playing, but I'm liking more dogs than I usually do in opening week this year myself.

Faves have done OK the last 3 years. I remember 2007 well. The numbers above are ATS, SU and year

It is very strange to see these lines move so fast, especially when they are open to the public. THe one thing I do not see in here is anyone getting on some of these bad lines. Did anyone get in, or is everyone still afraid towager this far before the season starts? There are some great bargains out there, if you can find them, and if you can wager in Vegas as well as off shore. With all the competition out there for the shrinking dollar, diversity is the name of the game.
